On The Real Housewives of Orange County season 18 episode 11, Emily, Jennifer, and Katie discussed Heather's situation. Referring to the charity fashion show, planned by Heather, Emily explained that she felt left out and self-critical as she had to bring her own jeans.
Despite her and Alexis having to wear the same dress, Emily felt that her insecurities had resurfaced once again, as she was the only one who had to bring her jeans. Meanwhile, others had gotten their fitting done for the leather pants, Emily explained:
"I was the only person that brought their own jeans to wear. And then I thought she did that because it was like I'm too big to be able to fit into anything that she had. It hurt a little. Then I went to the bathroom and I had a little breakdown and I cried a little, because I felt like I wasn't fitting in, you know what I mean?"
During her confessional interview on The Real Housewives of Orange County season 18 episode 11, Emily clarified that she didn't doubt Heather's intentions. She knew there was nothing "malicious" behind something Heather was "unaware" of. Emily expressed that she wanted her fellow cast mate to be considereate of the "time and effort" she had put into her health and fitness, she continued:
