What happened in The Real Housewives Of Orange County season 18 episode 19?
The Real Housewives of Orange County episode kicked off with Jenn once again finding herself at the center of attention. As Katie attempted to defend her friend, the other women joined in, expressing their concerns. Heather tried to clarify that their intentions were genuine, but Jenn seemed unfazed, refusing to acknowledge the issues surrounding her relationship with Ryan.
However, Tammy Sue did offer an apology for spreading misinformation about Ryan's home being raided by the FBI. Jenn, visibly emotional, emphasized the serious impact of such false statements on people's lives.
“These things have a real effect in people’s lives when you make these kinds of statements,” Jenn said.
Jenn challenged Heather's characterization of Tamra as a "historical friend," implying that their friendship was an outcome of their shared history on The Real Housewives of Orange County.
Meanwhile, Jenn confronted Tamra about her behavior and talked about a pattern of conduct that had gone unaddressed. Jenn felt that Tamra had a tendency to become aggressive and it needed to be acknowledged.
When asked if she thought she took things too far, Tamra deflected, suggesting that everyone was guilty of similar behavior. However, Shannon disagreed, pointing out that Tamra had a propensity for escalating conflicts and taking the low road.
Jenn's brief respite was short-lived, as a montage of her questionable spending habits was presented during the reunion. Emily, an attorney, expressed concerns about the morality of committing to a $12,000 monthly rent when Jenn's financial situation was precarious.
Heather, on the other hand, questioned Jenn's decision to buy a $2,000 dress for a party. The latter defended herself and explained that she was working on her financial condition and that her fiancé Ryan Boyajian bought that dress for her.
"I didn't take the $6,000, little that I have and go blow $2,000 on a dress and not feed my kids. That's not gonna happen ever," stated Jenn.
Jenn explained that her ex was still residing in the home at the time, but she had since taken steps to regain control of her finances. The 47-year-old proudly shared that she was now aware of her car payment's due dates and outstanding balances.
The episode's most significant discussion began with the host Andy Cohen's inquiry about Alexis's religiosity during her initial appearance on The Real Housewives of Orange County. Alexis reaffirmed her commitment to prioritizing her faith, marriage, and children. She expressed her joy in wanting to work again after taking a decade-long break.
Despite claiming she wanted to avoid conflict and speak her truth, Alexis repeated her husband Jim Bellino's phrases, echoing his accusations against Shannon regarding her relationship with the truth. Shannon quickly pointed that out and showcased frustration as Alexis was unable to articulate her thoughts and the other housewives agreed.
"Stop being John's mouthpiece. That's what John said. How many times did you practice in front of the mirror and Johnny J, 'There's the door, Shannon Beador.' There's no door. Proud of that," expressed Shannon.
The cast members of The Real Housewives of Orange County agreed on one point, and that was their desire for Alexis to establish her own voice and stop repeating her husband's talking points. As the episode concluded, the ladies tried to resolve their season-long conflicts.
