The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 5 reunion part 1 premiered on January 22, reuniting all the housewives after filming the season finale. The cast reflected on some of the prominent things that happened during the recent season and shared their thoughts about it.
Bronwyn Newport confronted Lisa Barlow on openly talking about Gwen's paternal family on the After Show episode. While Lisa tried to explain herself, Bronwyn said that she had no remorse for what she did.

During The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 5 reunion part 1, Lisa opened up about knowing Bronwyn's daughter Gwen's paternal grandparents noting that she was friends with the family.
"I knew [Gwen's biological father] very loosely. I'm friends with his parents. I know him because I used to go to his mother's house and up the stairs, she had a picture of him," Bronwyn shared during the reunion episode.
Bronwyn then revealed that she had only ever discussed Gwen's biological father with Lisa. While she appreciated having someone to talk to about it, she was upset that Lisa seemed more focused on defending Gwen's paternal family rather than supporting her.
Additionally, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star expressed that she was upset about the fact that Lisa decided to talk about the private matter on the After Show episode.
"I had a long conversation with Gwen's grandmother and she's like, 'We're open to meeting her. We're excited'. She's like 'The last we were told, you know, Bronwyn had a miscarriage and there was no child'. And then her son who passed away, his wife reached out to Bronwyn and she's like, 'But we never got to meet Gwen,'" Bronwyn said during After Show
Bronwyn told Lisa that she shouldn't have talked about it on the show in front of millions of viewers, noting that it affected her and her daughter.
Heather comments on life before and after losing weight
Later in the episode, Heather talked about her weight loss and how it changed her. She shared that when was "heavier" during RHOSLC season one, she had more confidence than she has now, noting that the reality show stripped her of her ego.
Comparing the two periods, she explained that in the earlier days, she had to fight much harder battles, often becoming meaner and carrying a lot of rage, whereas the recent season showed a different, more composed version of herself.
"I just feel like, Heather is different. She likes herself more, she is pouring more love into herself," Mary Crosby said.
Bronwyn and her husband Todd chime in on their relationship
At the end of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 5 reunion episode, Bronwyn and her husband talked about the current status of their marriage.
Bronwyn shared that after watching the recent season, she learned a lot about herself and her relationship with Todd. Reflecting on the events of the season, she and Todd decided to focus on strengthening their relationship.
"While we filmed that we had a good relationship, but we have a much stronger one now because there are things that I've seen from other people's perspectives that I want to change and the way I speak to Todd. And I won't speak for [Todd] but you said similar things to me," she said.
Todd added that some people who didn't know him well made many assumptions about him, and he believed that a lot of people were "envious" of their progress and personal growth. He also admitted that he had learned he needed to work on his "blunt" and "direct" approach to situations.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star later expressed that Bronwyn shouldn't have talked about Gwen's paternal family on the show.
