Love is Blind UK returned to screens with its reunion special on August 26, 2024, on Netflix. The segment brought back the cast including those who got married after the pods and those who didn't.

One such couple was Sabrina and Steven, the first couple to get engaged while on the show. Matt and Emma Willis asked the couple what happened between them after the show ended and they revealed they were no longer together.

The couple reflected on their journey together. Sabrina that one of the things she liked about him in the pods was how he reacted when she told him she wanted to quit her job. She added Steven couldn't wait to support her.

"I said I wanted to start my own agency, but the support wasn't there," Sabrina said.

She told the group she and Steven had planned on traveling between Belfast and London for the first years. They strayed from the original plan and tried to make a long-distance relationship work.

What happened between Steven and Sabrina after Love is Blind UK?

During the reunion special, Emma and Matt Willis introduced Sabrina and Steven as a couple who seemed like a perfect fit and asked how things had been after the show.

Sabrina revealed that their plans to travel between their hometowns had not been successful and that their "communication was awful." She further said:

"There was no consistency in Steven's behavior towards me and the relationship," she said.

The Love is Blind UK host asked Steven about his thoughts on the same and he said their relationship was "primarily long distance." The male cast member added that the couple "underestimated" the added pressure of a long-distance relationship.

"Sabrina started her own company and it took off, and it was brilliant. We just lost our spark. And communication, expectations of each were very different," Steven said.

Chining in on the situation, Matt Willis said when he found out Steven and Sabrina were going to be seated separately at the Love is Blind UK reunion special, he believed it was going to be because of one of two things.

"It's either distance, or the topic of children had come up again," Matt said.

Sabrina said she respected Steven since they had an open conversation about children while in the pods. She said he was honest about wanting children and taking the time to think about it. The cast member added about the distance that she "really tried" to make it work.

When Steven asked her how many times she had come to London, Sabrina said "Seven." Meanwhile, Steven had only been to Belfast twice and admitted that was where he "let it slide." He explained not being able to travel to see Sabrina on business and said he had lost all his customers.

"It wasn't about traveling. When I traveled, you didn't make any adjustments in your life for me. When you came to Belfast, you wanted to go gym, so I paid for a car for you, to rent a car," Sabrina said.

The Love is Blind UK star elaborated that she didn't drink tea or coffee, and would arrange all those for him. She added she spent 70 Euros on groceries, brought him an ironing board, and tried to do everything she could to make their relationship work.

Sabrina told Steven it felt like she made "zero accommodations" in his life for her. The Love is Blind UK star added that when they were not together, there was no communication. The couple revealed they were no longer on the reunion special.

Fans can watch their journeys unfold on Love is Blind UK season 1 on Netflix.
