Claudia Winkleman’s personal life and career
Claudia Anne Irena Winkleman was born in Westminster, London on January 15, 1972. She is the daughter of journalist Eve Pollard and publisher Barry Winkleman. She was raised in Hampstead, an area in London where she spent most of her growing up years.
Winkleman attended the City of London School for Girls and later earned a Master of Arts in Art History from New Hall, Cambridge. She began her TV career in the early 1990s, regularly appearing on the BBC show Holiday, where she reported from various destinations. She also worked as a reporter for This Morning, interviewing celebrities.
She presented several game shows and reality television programs during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Among some of her known shows were God's Gift, Talking Telephone Numbers, and Fanorama, for which she received great acclamation as a presenter.
On June 24, 2000, Claudia Winkleman married film producer Kris Thykier, with whom she had three children named Jake, Matilda Martha, and Arthur.
By 2001, Winkleman took on a more substantial role when she co-hosted Liquid News on BBC Three, a position she held until 2004. She further built on her hosting experience with roles on Fame Academy and Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two, which broadened her exposure to a mainstream audience.
