Meet the couples who are still together on The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On season 3
1) Zaina and J.R.
Zaina and J.R. faced challenges due to the latter's trust issues from his previous marriage. Zaina, who was looking for marriage and children, expressed her desire to push the relationship forward. During the trial marriage segment, Zaina explored a connection with Scotty, who she believed encouraged her to "lean into vulnerability.” However, a miscommunication with Scotty led her to question their compatibility.
Meanwhile, J.R. bonded with Sandy, appreciating her “fire and passion” and sharing a few kisses. The experiment helped J.R. recognize Zaina’s value, and the couple decided to stay together.
“Being in your 30s, it hits differently,” Zaina noted.
2) Sandy and Nick
Sandy and Nick’s 11-year age gap and differing life goals caused tension in their relationship. Sandy, described by Nick as “still Coachella-ing,” wasn’t ready to settle into suburban life. However, trial marriage segment on The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On offered them a new perspective.
Sandy found an instant bond with J.R., calling it "the strongest of the group," while Nick connected with Vanessa over their quirks and outsider status. The experiment brought them various challenges, but at the end of episode 5, Sandy and Nick reunited, recognizing their potential for growth as a couple.
“I see J.R. in a different light than most people,” Sandy admitted.
3) Mariah and Caleb
Mariah entered the experiment with clear goals: marriage and family. Caleb, however, was hesitant about moving too quickly, worrying it could lead to future resentment. During the trial phase, Mariah struggled to connect with her new partner, Micah, who left the experiment early. Reflecting on the experience, Mariah said:
“If you still have a little hesitancy [about us], I feel like I’m wasting my time.”
Caleb, on the other hand, developed a bond with Aria who liked his calm nature and thoughtful conversation. Caleb and Mariah ended up back together, realizing that they should focus on their future.
4) Aria and Scotty
Aria and Scotty’s relationship was tested by distance and career conflicts, prompting Scotty to issue an ultimatum. Scotty’s trial marriage with Zaina revealed how much he desired a strong partnership. He described Zaina as a woman who epitomized "the term wife material.”
Meanwhile, Aria found herself attracted to Caleb, describing him as someone who made her feel “really secure.” Despite these connections, Aria and Scotty eventually chose to recommit to each other, with Scotty stating:
“I definitely did not come into this thinking that someone was going to connect with me the way that we did.”
5) Vanessa and Dave
Vanessa was frustrated by Dave’s hesitation to commit. Dave explored a trial marriage with Chanel on The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On, while Vanessa connected with Nick, saying he made her feel “seen and understood as a person.”
However, both trial marriages ended abruptly when Vanessa and Dave decided to leave the experiment early. Reuniting off-camera, the couple decided to work on their relationship and rebuild trust. Vanessa helped Dave realize the importance of their partnership by reflecting on their current situation.
“I deserve someone who is 100% certain,” she said.
6) Chanel and Micah
Chanel and Micah’s strong bond led them to refer to each other as husband and wife. During their appearance on The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On, Micah struggled to connect with his trial partner, Mariah. Meanwhile, Chanel found herself drawn to Dave’s humor and easygoing nature.
Although they both explored other dynamics, the couple chose to leave the experiment early and reunite, prioritizing their established connection. Micah noted:
“With Chanel, it’s never awkward. She’s the person that I can’t wait to see every day.”
The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On season 3 airs new episodes every Wednesday. Episode six to eight are scheduled to be released on December 11 on Netflix. The show will conclude with on December 18, with the release of episode nine and ten.
