At the end of episode 6 of The Ultimatum: South Africa, the couples braced themselves for a get-together, post which they would return to their former partners. The hosts Howzza and Salamina headed the get-together and interviewed the contestants on their experiences before they went to their villas.
Except for Aidan and Courtney, none of the couples at the villa were adjusting well to the change. Khanya was furious with Nkateko for inviting Sizakele to her property so they could fight. Genesis lamented Thabi's connection with Lindile, and Sizakele felt sad about Lindile's bonding with Thabi as well. Isaac was mad at Ruth for sleeping with Nolla.
Couples on The Ultimatum: South Africa reunited with their partners
When the couples arrived at their villas to be with their former partners for the second part of The Ultimatum: South Africa, they were still in the bittersweet of the transition. While Thabi and Lindile still felt attached, their partners-Genesis and Sizakele were having a hard time.
Their insecurities got worse when Lindile got a parting gift for Thabi and left Genesis hurt, while Sizakele was hurt by Thabi's parting gift for Lindile. Siza even went to Thabi's villa to return her gift saying her three weeks to spend time with Lindile were over and that her gifts to him were a hindrance in her time with him.
Khanya wasn't speaking to Nkateko because he brought Sizakele to fight with her at her villa. She also didn't like how close Nkateko got with Siza. She also asked Nkateko to not sleep with her on the same bed.
Over at Ruth and Isaac's villa, Isaac was mad at Ruth for sleeping with Nolla, who left the villa because of his sleeping scandal with Ruth. Ruth gave reasons for her actions, but Isaac wasn't having it. He insisted on spending the night on the couch, while Ruth asked him to sleep on the bed; which he eventually agreed to.
Aidan and Courtney were very happy to be with each other. Aidan surprised her with chocolates and decorations, which she loved. Coutney admitted in a confessional that she wanted to cuddle with Aidan and love him.
Despite the initial hours of their reunion going rough, all the couples eventually ended up reconciling. Thabi and Genesis were seen laughing and having a good time again, while Nkateko and Khanya also resolved their dispute in a fun way. Lindile also said that he loved Siza and was down to see what happens ahead. Ruth apologized to Isaac for her actions and they slowly reconciled.
Nolla and Lebo became the only couple to break up and leave The Ultimatum: South Africa, while the others continued and wanted to give their former partners a chance.
The get-together before the contestants reunited with their partners
While answering Howzza and Salamina's questions at the get-together on The Ultimatum: South Africa, Aidan said that the experiment had strengthened his desire to marry Courtney even more. Courtney said that she had found a best friend in Genesis. Thabi thanked Lindile for treating her right and said that her relationship with him was good.
Sizakele said that she loved her relationship with Nkateko so much that she wanted it to continue; while Nkateko stated that he had learned self-love from her. When it came to Khanya and Isaac, things weren't all that pleasant. Isaac said that Khanya could have done more than what she already did, while Khanya said that Isaac wasn't the type of guy she'd want to be with.
The reunion episode of The Ultimatum: South Africa comes out on May 28, only on Netflix.
