In episode 3, Georgia Starnes, and Jeremy Beloate were the two artists who impressed the judges and received four chair turns. A 14-year-old participant named Jaylen Dunham shocked judges with his singing style and voice which ultimately led to Gwen using her 'Coach Replay' button to save him as initially none of the judges had turned their chairs yet.
For the unversed, if a coach changed their mind about choosing an artist for their team after meeting them, they can press this 'Coach Replay' button.
Here's the synopsis for episode 3:
"Coaches Michael Bublé, Snoop Dogg, Reba McEntire, and Gwen Stefani all vie to discover and coach the next singing phenomenon on the third night of blind auditions."
The Voice season 26 episode 3: Gwen Stefani pressed 'Coach Replay' button for Jaylen Dunham who performed Beyoncé’s Listen
Apart from the Coach Replay button, the judges could use the block button against one another to steal an artist for their own team. One of the main highlights of The Voice season 26 episode 3 was 21-year-old Georgia Starnes' audition after which the judges hoped she would choose their team.
Due to Georgia's stage presence and unique vocal range, all four judges were impressed by her. Michael was the first one to press the button and turn his chair, and then Gwen, Snoop, and Reba followed along. Georgia covered Too Good at Goodbyes by Sam Smith while adding a hint of country tone in her performance. After her act ended, the Texas native chose to become part of Team Snoop.
Next up on stage was 25-year-old Jeremy Beloate who sang Heartbreak Anniversary by Giveon. He shared his background with the judges and opened up about his father and brother's passing. Jeremy's deep vocals and ability to showcase deep emotions in his performance left an impact on the judges.
Coach Michael and Gwen said they would help find his voice and style and work on the minor singing abilities he was lacking. However, The Voice contestant ended up choosing Team Bublé to mentor him.
One of the surprising twists in this episode of The Voice was when Gwen realized that contestant Jaylen Dunham was just a teenager. Jaylen sang Beyoncé’s Listen in his powerful voice. Gwen thought it was a "35-year-old woman” and Snoop Dogg agreed. After meeting the 14-year-old contestant, she changed her mind and pressed the 'Coach Replay' button to save him.
The North Carolina native revealed he had been posting videos of himself singing on various platforms for the past three years. Gwen expressed that Jaylen was meant to do great things and was on the right track; he only needed some assistance. Despite none of the judges turning their chairs, Gwen changed her decision and welcomed Dunham into her team.
