The Voice season 26 episode 7 started with the second phase of the singing competition series—the Battle Round. In this segment, the selected contestants from the auditions competed against other artists. Each coach selected two participants from their respective teams and allowed them to sing together to showcase their vocal talent.

What happened on The Voice season 26 episode 7?
One of the main highlights of The Voice season 26 episode 7 was Gwen's selection of participants who went to compete in the battle round. To the viewer's surprise, she paired 15-year-old Sydney Sterlace and 19-year-old Sloane Simon as competitors.
Both The Voice contestants sang Birds of a Feather by Billie Eilish in hopes of heading to the next round. As fans already know, Sydney chose to be a part of Team Gwen after receiving a four-chair turn during the audition. Meanwhile, Sloane picked Gwen's team over Team Buble back then.
After their performance ended in episode 7, Gwen gave her verdict of choosing Sydney and declaring her as the winner of the battle round. This meant Sloane was to be eliminated from the show. However, there was a major twist as the remaining three coaches pressed their steal button, hoping Sloane would join their respective teams.
The three judges tried to convince Sloane to choose them as their mentor but The Voice contestant ended up becoming part of Team Buble. The rest of the coaches were relieved that Sloane was still competing on the show and would appear in the next round.
From Team Snoop, the two participants who appeared in the battle round were Eliza Pryor and Mikaela Ayira. In this round, the two artists sang A Thousand Miles by Vanessa Carlton. As Eliza was able to match the song's strong vocals, Snoop declared her the winner of the battle.
For the rest of the battles, Christina Eagle from Team Snoop won against Gail Bliss, and Team Reba artist Kendall Eugene won against Alison Elena. Moreover, Team Snoop contestant Mikaela Ayira defeated Eliza Pryor, Team Gwen participant Jan Dan beat Jaylen Dunham, and Kiara Vega from Team Buble defeated Mor Ilderton.
