The Voice is back with its 26th installment in 2024. With the concept of blind auditions where judges turn around on the voices they love, the singing reality show has made its place as one of the top singing reality shows in the US. Its success has led to various international versions of the show.

Since its premiere in 2011, The Voice has showcased a wide array of exceptionally talented contestants, featured multiple celebrity judges and coaches, and experienced consistently successful seasons. Carson Daly has been the only consistent host throughout the show's various changes over the years.

The highly anticipated 26th season premiere is set to air on September 23, 2024, at 8 p.m. ET on NBC, followed by a Tuesday premiere. Viewers can look forward to two episodes each week starting October 1, 2024, at 8 p.m. ET. The show will also be available to stream on Peacock.

The constant companion of The Voice: Carson Daly

The only remaining original cast member from the very first season is Carson Daly, who has been a strong presence throughout the show's 13-year history. His prominent presence over the years, while most celebrity judges and coaches changed, signifies his contribution to the show.

As an integral part of the long-running show, when the longevity of the show gets questioned, Daly has always come up with answers that exhibit his aspirations for the show. When the question reappeared with an interaction with Yahoo during the 25th season, Dary replied,

“The show has zero signs of aging. People watch content differently. Ratings are down across the board in traditional television viewing, but the way The Voice makes people feel is still at an all-time high.”

As an answer to another question of why the viewers keep returning to the reality show, he said,

“The format is so strong — stronger than any one coach, any one host, any one of us. I think that’s really why the show’s been successful, we added the steals, we added the saves, and we’ve added the block. We’ve tweaked the format to make it more interesting, but we’ve never changed the real DNA of the show.”

Despite the rumors and speculations stemming from Daly's Instagram stories in January 2024, one of which read,

“You can literally feel in your soul when it’s time. Time to move on from people, time to make a change in your life, time to get rid of unhealthy habits, time to want more for yourself. At some point, you’ll just know.”

Fans began to speculate that his departure from the show was imminent, fueled by rumors of contract negotiation issues with the show's producers.

Contrary to earlier speculations, it has been officially confirmed by NBC that Carson Daly will be returning once again as the host for season 26 of The Voice.

Meet the new coaches for the upcoming season

Throughout the years, The Voice has brought exceptional celebrity singers to judge and train new talent such as Blake Shelton, John Legend, Adam Levine, Alicia Keys, Kelly Clarkson, Reba McEntire, and many more.

The heart of the show is the fun banter between judges vying to win the competition. Season 26 brings together exceptional personalities from the music industry to maintain the same excitement.

The new coaches were introduced by a performance on Reach Out I'll Be There, where it was seen that Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani are set to return as coaches on The Voice, alongside new additions—renowned rapper Snoop Dogg and Canadian singer-songwriter Michael Bublé.

In the upcoming season, new coaches will join the competition, creating much anticipation. The winner will receive a $100,000 prize and a recording contract with Republic Records, just as the previous winners.

The anticipatory 26th season will air on September 23, 2024, at 8 p.m. ET and will be streamed the next day on Peacock.
