The fifth and final night of Battles for The Voice Season 26 featured contestants from teams led by Reba McEntire, Gwen Stefani, Snoop Dogg, and Michael Bublé competing in duets. Each coach faced tough decisions as they assessed their artists’ performances, deciding who would move on to the Knockouts and who would be eliminated.

At the end of this intense round, four artists were eliminated: 323, Kamila Kiehne, Michael Alexandersson, and Rowdy Shea. With two Steals per coach, the Battles have offered each artist a second chance, as seen in The Voice Battles part 5 with key Steals from Michael and Reba to secure their final team compositions.

In the first battle of the night, J. Paul faced off against Kamila Kiehne, who represented Team Bublé. They performed a duet of Toxic by Britney Spears, showcasing their vocal prowess and ability to handle a pop classic with flair. After a strong performance from both singers, Michael Bublé ultimately chose J. Paul as the winner. Reflecting on his choice, Michael shared,

“J. Paul is the quintessential singer’s singer. He has the ability, the range, the tonal quality. I look forward to seeing what this dude can do. He’s absolutely a beast.”

Kamila’s The Voice journey ended here, but her unique approach to the song left a lasting impression.

For Team Gwen, Camryn Brooks and Rowdy Shea went head-to-head with their duet of I Remember Everything by Kasey Musgraves and Zach Bryan. The emotional ballad allowed both artists to showcase their vocal strengths and connection to the lyrics. Gwen ultimately chose Camryn as the winner, citing her more seasoned, polished sound as the deciding factor.

"I chose Camryn because she is just more ready and a little more of a seasoned singer. What I like about her voice is she has this airy, sweet, smooth sound to it," Gwen commented.

Rowdy’s time on The Voice came to an end, but his distinct style was acknowledged by Gwen as a standout talent.

Battle Round 3: Tate Renner vs. Tanner Frick from Team Reba

Reba paired Tate Renner and Tanner Frick for a high-energy performance of Need a Favor by Jelly Roll. Both artists brought a country edge to the song, aligning with Reba’s coaching expertise. Ultimately, she selected Tate as the winner, noting his distinctive raspiness and country style, and likened his voice to that of Chris Stapleton. Reba explained,

“That was a real tough decision, but I went with Tate. I love Tate’s raspiness in his voice. A little bit of Chris Stapleton in it. You just look at him and you know he’s a country singer through and through. I think he’ll go far.”

Tanner, however, wasn’t out of the game, as Michael Bublé used his final Steal to bring him onto his team, valuing Tanner’s potential as a former 4-chair turn. Michael said of his Steal,

“Tanner Frick is a huge get for me. That’s a former 4-chair turn and a piece of the puzzle that I didn’t have. I needed that country singer and now I feel that I’m completely in the game.”

Battle Round 4: Mary McAvoy vs. Michael Alexandersson from Team Snoop

Mary McAvoy and Michael Alexandersson took on the classic song “I Only Have Eyes for You” by The Flamingos under Snoop Dogg’s guidance. Their performance was marked by complementary harmonies and contrasting vocal textures, though Snoop ultimately decided that Mary was the stronger performer. Reflecting on his choice, Snoop said,

“Mary gave more during the game. She was doing her thing. They complemented each other but when it got to the fourth quarter, there were just certain things she was doing that hit my spirit. She can go places I don’t think he can go.”

Michael’s The Voice journey came to an end, but his contribution to the duet was well-recognized by the coaches.

Battle Round 5: Katie O vs. 323 from Team Reba

Katie O and 323 delivered a memorable performance of Lonesome Loser by Little River Band. Their unique harmony created a compelling dynamic, which made Reba’s decision challenging. Ultimately, she selected Katie O as the winner, impressed by her confidence and ability to hold her ground alongside her teammate. Reba commented on her choice, saying,

“Katie O and 323 were fantastic. They ought to be a quartet, but my heart just said go with Katie O. She wasn’t intimidated by the other three people there; she held her own.”

Although 323 was eliminated from The Voice, Reba acknowledged his significant contribution to the performance.

Battle Round 6: Cameron Wright vs. Cassidy Lee from Team Bublé

The final battle of the night featured Cameron Wright and Cassidy Lee from Team Bublé performing Hero by Mariah Carey. The ballad provided both artists with an opportunity to showcase their vocal control and emotional depth. Michael ultimately chose Cameron as the winner, noting his flawless execution and confident performance. Michael shared his thoughts, saying,

“I just couldn’t not choose Cameron. He did exactly what I asked him to do. He executed it perfectly with style, with panache.”

Cassidy, however, received a second chance when Reba used the final Steal of the night to bring her onto her team. Reba expressed her admiration, stating,

“I’m looking for somebody to really touch my heart and impress me and Cassidy did. Sometimes when you’re singing with somebody who has a very acrobatic voice, you tend to want to join that run, but she didn’t. Cassidy stayed right there and did a great job and held her own.”

The Voice season 26 airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT and Tuesday nights at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on NBC, with episodes available for streaming the next day on Peacock.
