The Judges of The Voice UK 2024
Returning judges: Sir Tom Jones and will.i.am
Sir Tom Jones has been on The Voice UK since the show's launch in 2012 and continues his tenure on the red chair. Sir Tom has been on the show every year except 2016, when he took a short break.
The Welsh singer has been making music for 70 years and has had many hits, including the classics It's Not Unusual and Delilah. He has sold over a million records around the world. Two Brit Awards, three Grammys, a Golden Globe, and the Ivor Novello Award are just a few of the many awards he has won.
The Queen knighted the 84-year-old musician in 2006 for his contributions to the field. He still tours the UK with live concerts. This season, Sir Tom is eager to find unique and authentic talent that breaks the mold, stating,
“I’m always listening for something that surprises me, something that is not run of the mill... I want someone individual and natural.”
will.i.am is also returning to The Voice UK with Sir Tom. The seven-time Grammy winner has also been a judge on the show since the beginning in 2012. He brings experience and expertise as the lead singer of the Black Eyed Peas. Over the course of his 30-year career, the American rapper has worked with big names in music such as U2, Miley Cyrus, and Rihanna.
New judges: LeAnn Rimes, and the duo of Danny Jones and Tom Fletcher
This season on The Voice UK, LeAnn Rimes, a famous American singer and actress, has joined the judges as a new member. When Rimes was only 13, she became famous as a country music star. She has since sold over 48 million records around the world and made it in pop music as well.
Rimes has won two Grammy Awards, 12 Billboard Music Awards, and many other awards over the course of her career, for songs like I Need You and Can't Fight the Moonlight.
This year's judges also include Danny Jones and Tom Fletcher, from the British pop band McFly. They will share a chair, which makes the panel more interesting. McFly has been together since 2003, and has had seven number-one singles and seven top-ten albums, the most recent being Power to Play.
The band holds the Guinness World Record for being the youngest group to have their first album go straight to number one in the UK charts. Jones has made a name for himself as a music producer and DJ, while Fletcher is a successful children's author and writes songs for other artists, such as One Direction.
The Voice UK's season 26 starts on ITV1 on Saturday, August 31, at 8 p.m. Fans who can't watch the live show will also be able to stream episodes on ITVX.
