Team Bublé's Sofronio Vasquez and Shye entered the top five and will compete for the top prize at The Voice season 26 finale, premiering on December 9 on NBC.
In a December 3 interview with People, published after the live show round, the two finalists shared their thoughts on coach Michael Bublé, praising his unwavering support and effortless approach to communication.
Vasquez shared that the coach made him feel like he was at home, while Shye described the coach as "fantastic" and "incredibly personable."
"Even though I get that sense with the other coaches, I feel like he communicates with us the most and he aides us the most. He's very there to hold your hand," Shye added.
Coaches Snoop Dogg, Gwen Stefani, Reba McEntire, and Michael Bublé will return to the panel during the finale, with Carson Daly as the host.
The Voice finalists Sofronio Vasquez and Shye talk about Michael Bublé's mentorship
Finalist Sofronio Vasquez delivered a powerful rendition of Elvis Presley's If I Can Dream during The Voice season 26 Live Semi-Final Performances.
The singer moved the audience and the coaches with his level of control and vocal discipline and received a standing ovation in return.
"Nobody in the whole universe besides you and your family know what you're going through. I know we talk," coach Bublé told the singer after the performance.
The Voice 26 coach further highlighted his admiration and pride for his team members. He acknowledged the "strength" it took for Vasquez to persevere through his "adversity" and perform on the show.
"I think if people understood the strength that you have and the fact that through all of this adversity, you walk out here on a night like tonight, when it probably matters more than anything has in your whole life career-wise. You walk out here in the moment and you take the brass ring and I'm just so happy for you," Bublé added.
Reacting to the moment, Vasquez shared in the interview with People that he was trying to hold back his tears as he didn't want to appear too emotional. He added that Bublé's support meant a lot to him and played a key role in his progress during the show.
Vasquez described Bublé as a coach and mentor who was "so genuine," emphasizing how his support created a sense of home, even when Vasquez was "super far away from home."
The Voice season 26 finalist further shared that Bublé even reached out to his team members on his own so that he could make sure that they were ready and well-prepared for their performance ahead.
"He [reached out] asking, 'Hey, are you okay? Are you prepared for tomorrow? Do you want some food?' He is very very genuine. He loves us," Vasquez continued.
Shye chimed in and agreed with what her fellow finalist and teammate said about their coach. While she said all of the coaches were supportive, she felt that Bublé was the most communicative with his team members.
Before the live show, Bublé expressed his pride in Shye and Vasquez during an interview with People, highlighting their immense hard work. He praised the team members, calling them "stars in the making."
"My artists Shye and Sofronio have worked their butts off. They deserve it, they are incredibly talented and I think they're stars in the making, with or without this show," the coach said.
