Love is Blind UK, released on August 7, was a fresh addition to Netflix's international library of this coveted dating reality TV show. The first four episodes released this week saw the contestants getting to know each other in the pods, while a handful of them even got engaged. Stevan and Sabrina were the first couple of the season to get engaged, and rightly so, because they had the most enriching conversations of them all.

After a few dates, they were able to show their vulnerable side to each other, which culminated in them growing closer and fonder of one another. During one of their dates, Stevan opened up about the time his ex-girlfriend was diagnosed with a tumor.

"She had a consultation, and, uh, the consultant came in, and he then proceeded to say that they'd found a tumor".

What did Love is Blind UK star Stevan have to say about the time his ex-girlfriend was diagnosed with a tumor?

Stevan found the courage to share his story after Sabrina opened up about her parent's divorce, which ended in her finding out that her biological father wasn't the one she thought he was. Stevan empathized with her before he opened up about his own story.

He said he was in a long-term relationship with someone and thought he would marry her. But the girl fell sick and was diagnosed with a tumor. He cared for her while she fought for her life, which he said was very difficult. Steven then broke down as he revealed the reason for their break up.

"She sat beside me and just said, 'I can't do us anymore. I just need to focus on me.' It was tough," he said.

In Love is Blind UK, episode 1, Stevan said he was okay with leaving her because he only cared about her at the time. He explained this by saying that if her survival meant they weren't together, he was okay with it. He added that it defined who he was and set the approach he currently had in life.

Sabrina consoled him by saying she wished she could hug him and that he was stronger because of whatever happened.

"You've a very unique outlook on life, which I really respect and appreciate," she said.

After their heart-to-heart chats on Love is Blind UK, she said she felt closer to him. Stevan said that being able to be vulnerable to someone was a good sign. After their chats, Sabrina went to a confessional to express that her rendezvous with Stevan had been unexpected. She felt like her heart and mind were aligned with Stevan's and that there was a possibility of a future.

Back at the Male Living Quarters, Stevan told his Love is Blind UK co-stars that he was vulnerable with someone in the pods and that "the connection's real." Talking to the women in Female Living Quarters, Sabrina said she felt like Stevan was someone who would back her up and encourage her to be her best version. But she was scared that Stevan would turn out to be someone she would never date in real life.

Episodes 5 to 8 of Love is Blind UK will come out on August 14 on Netflix.
