“They deserved it” — America's Got Talent  fans praise Sebastian’s Golden Buzzer winning performance

America's Got Talent season 19 reached the final round of its Quarterfinals aka the Live Shows section. The episode released on Tuesday, September 4 once again saw spectacular performances by contestants who were selected in the auditions and the ones who got Golden Buzzers.

Sebastian and Sonia were one dynamic duo that presented unforgettable aerial acts in the previous rounds of the show, so their Quarterfinal performance was anticipated by many. Unfortunately, Sonia couldn't perform that night because of an injury but promised to return for an act in the upcoming round if Sebastian's solo performance made it past the Live Shows. And it did!

Simon Cowell was so impressed by Sebastian's solo aerial act that he pressed the Golden Buzzer. Fans of America's Got Talent totally approved of the decision and flocked to X to praise it. They also commended Sebastian's performance and wished the best for Sonia.

"I had a feeling Simon would give Sebastian & Sonia the Golden Buzzer. In my opinion, they deserved it," a fan said.

"Wow was so moved by Sebastian’s solo(!) performance. There goes that man @AGTCommenter again with the golden buzzers. Hard to deny the greatness! Us @ByStephenA fans are frustrated! Grrrr! But in all seriousness you can help but give him his props. Smart man," another viewer said.

"Wow!!! Thank you Simon!!! Sebastian totally deserves the Golden Buzzer!!! Amazing performance!!!" a third fan chimed in.

Some America's Got Talent fans said they didn't expect him to win the Golden Buzzer because his partner was missing, but were happy when he did. They wished Sonia returned for the next round.

"Way to pull through Sebastián for the team. All the pressure he had on his shoulders, then he goes out and does that WOW," a comment read.

"I'm okay with this. Hopefully, Sonia will be able to perform in the finals," a user wrote.

"We were ALL wrong! Simon gave the #GoldenBuzzer to someone who wasn’t a singer! Truly proud of Sebastián and Sonia for pushing through a hardship! Looks like Sonia is going to be healthy for the finals on #AGT!" wrote another.

Sebastian and Sonia's Golden Buzzer win in the Quarterfinals of America's Got Talent season 19

Sebastian and Sonia were competing alongside ten other deserving contestants who made it past the first two rounds of the show, including two who won the Golden Buzzers in their auditions. These included:

So, the competition was already strong and it got seemingly tougher when the dancing duo mentioned that the second half of their group, aka Sonia, wasn't going to perform that day. However, Sebastian delivered a performance no one could look away from, in America's Got Talent Quarterfinals 4. As he finished his act, Sonia joined him on the stage and got emotional. She hugged and kissed him.

The audience cheered as they gave a standing ovation, including all four judges. Simon was the first one to go, he said they got the "best reaction" so far, which was the reason why he pressed the Golden Buzzer, bathing the duo in Golden confetti.
