“They’re dramatic like that”— Young, Famous & African star Khanyi reacts to Kayleigh saying she’s about to be single after clashing with Naked

Young, Famous & African season 3 reality TV series is a dramatic show that highlights the luxurious lives of cast members. This season's cast consists of South African creator Kefilwe Mabote, Nollywood star Ini Edo, and entrepreneur Shakib Lutaaya.

In the newly released episode 8 which aired on January 17, 2025, Naked talked to Khanyi about the unresolved issues in his relationship with Kayleigh. He shared that Kayleigh told her friends she was about to be single soon and was moving out. Upon hearing this, Khanyi told the cameras during her confession interview that both Kayleigh and Naked were "dramatic." She continued:

"They're dramatic like that. I'm not surprised. And we all know why. He comes from a very strong family unit and he wants to live up to that image. And I think his first marriage failing really hurt him."

Young, Famous & African season 3 episode 8 titled Breakups and Makeups was released exclusively on Netflix. The episode synopsis reads as the following:

This episode highlighted the conflicts between Kayleigh and Naked as they navigated their relationship, plan for the future, and attempted to resolve their problems with communication. Kayleigh shared her point of view on the matter and expressed her concerns about the uncertainty of the future. Meanwhile, Naked was hesitant to marry once again as he was still hurt from his past.

Young, Famous & African star Khanyi's thoughts on Kayleigh and Naked's relationship

On Young, Famous & African season 3 episode 8, Naked met Khanyi to open up about his feelings regarding his relationship problems with Kayleigh. He told the cameras that Khanyi was one of the people he felt comfortable opening up to and getting advice from.

Naked told Khanyi that Kayleigh was telling everyone in their friend group that she was "unhappy" in their relationship. She also decided to move out and mentioned she was ready to be single again.

During Khanyi's confessional interview, she told the cameras that Naked was cautious of taking the next step in his relationship. Kayleigh on the other hand was ready for marriage and having children but Naked had his doubts. The Young, Famous & African star shared that Naked's previous two marriages that resulted in divorce hurt him. She continued:

"But he stood up, dusted himself off, and did it again. Second one failing was even more of a pain."

She reminded Naked to validate Kayleigh's feelings and that he was "protecting" himself too much from starting a new chapter of his life. Khanyi shared an important piece of advice with him, she said:

"Don't you think you're protecting yourself too much now? People today are not this tolerant. Relationships are not that durable, that's your person man. And I think you're ready."

Their conversation concluded with Naked realizing he was being too overprotective and hesitant to take the next big step.
