"They’re seeing who we really are" — Love Undercover stars Sebastián Fassi and Lloyd Jones share their experience 

Love Undercover, a new Peacock series that premiered on May 9, 2024, explores the personal lives of athletes Jamie O'Hara, Marco Fabián, Sebastián Fassi, Ryan Babel, and Lloyd Jones. To find their one true love, the five soccer stars leave their wealthy status behind and conceal their famous identity to find someone who would want them for their personality, not fame.

On Thursday, May 16, 2024, Love Undercover stars Sebastián Fassi and Lloyd Jones shared their journeys on the show with Pop Culturist. During their conversation, when Sebastián was asked what made him excited to join the Peacock series, he explained that the social experiment format of the show caught his attention:

"They’re seeing our hearts and who we really are. That’s what made me open up my eyes. I saw this amazing opportunity to be a part of this. I’ve said this a few times today, but it was a life-changing experience for me. Being a part of something like this caught my attention from day one."

Love Undercover stars Sebastián Fassi and Lloyd Jones share lessons from the reality show

Within 30 days, each cast member has to find love, but a few players, including Lloyd, were about to blow their cover. He would practice beforehand so that he wouldn't slip up something about his true identity; if he did, that would affect the remaining players as well.

Apart from that, Sebastián Fassi revealed the lessons he learned from being part of the reality TV series. Comparing the time on the field and going on dates to find love, Fassi explained that "constant repetition" and practice in soccer build confidence, however, in the hunt for love, "you’re learning something new every single day."

Lloyd Jones shared that during his time on Love Undercover, he was on a self-discovery journey where he realized that vulnerability and honesty are important to finding a love match. He said that the social experiment taught him to be open about his feelings, which he usually struggles with. Outside of the fame and wealth, Lloyd was cautious about how his behavior was impacting the girls.

"I was also a bit indecisive on the show, so seeing the girls and not really knowing how it was affecting them. You’re not only hurting yourself, you’re hurting other people as well when you’re doing that. So I tried to be more open and honest as the show went on. That was the most challenging thing for me."

Moreover, the Love Undercover cast member reflected on his bond with his co-stars. He shared that a few of them gave him advice, while others were there for him during a difficult situation.

As Jamie O'Hara, Marco Fabián, Sebastián Fassi, Ryan Babel, and Lloyd Jones joined the social experiment, they also went through similar things and could understand each other better. Lloyd explained:

"It was amazing. I feel like everyone brought something different as well. It helped massively. There was no jealousy there. It was amazing from start to finish."
