The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On season 3 aired its first set of episodes on December 4, 2024. The segment saw the original cast members break up as they took part in the show and formed new connections. They spent three weeks in trial marriages with their new partners, before the switchover, during which they would spend three weeks with their original partners in a trial marriage.
Ahead of the switchover, the men and women went out for drinks separately where they spoke to each other about the relationships and connections they had formed so far. Scotty, who came to the show with Zaina, spoke to her original partner, J.R. about their connection. However, as the two discussed their relationship, J.R. questioned Scotty about some of the rumors he had heard.
He recalled hearing that J.R. was only a part of the Netflix show to get a "hall pass" and when Scotty asked why he felt that he had said it, J.R. said:
"Cause they said Scotty said that."
"There's no reason"— Scotty denies making a comment about J.R. in The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On season 3 episode 5
In The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On season 3 episode 5, titled, Just Here for a Hall Pass, the male cast members got together to have drinks. The segment saw Nick apologize to J.R. for intruding in his and Sandy's space in the previous episode.
As the conversation progressed, Scotty owned up about his connection with J.R.'s original cast member, Zaina. While comparing Zaina to his original partner, Aria, Scotty said that Zaina was "calm." He added that she had become more emotionally vulnerable over time.
Scotty said he discovered that a quality the female The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On season 3 cast member needed from the man she would marry was "emotional vulnerability."
"What we've created in the context of what we're doing has nothing to do with my feelings or perception about you," he told J.R.
The latter was unconvinced and asked whether Scotty was sure about that. The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On season 3 participant said he was sure and asked what J.R. meant. The latter said that he had "heard some sh*t" and Scotty asked what it was.
"There's rumors going around saying I was only here for a hall pass," J.R. said
Scotty asked why J.R. felt that Scotty was behind the rumors and the cast member said that people had told him that. The cast member asked him if Sandy told him but J.R. said no. Scotty asked whether he heard it from Zaina but J.R. said he wasn't going to tell him who told him.
Scotty asked The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On season 3 star why he would talk about J.R. that way and the latter asked him to tell him. J.R. asked him if it was untrue and Scotty said "Absolutely not true."
"There's no reason for me to say that about you," Scotty explained.
J.R. said that Scotty might be trying to "fill sh*t" in Zaina's head to get The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On star to open up to him and said it was "very manipulative." Caleb who was also a part of the conversation told J.R. he felt that whoever told him about the alleged statement was being manipulative and J.R. said that was what he was trying to figure out.
"There's nothing about Zaina where I'm like, 'Ok, if I just cast doubt on her relationship, maybe I could slide in there," Scotty explained.
J.R. said he was upset that somebody was talking about him and told Scotty he didn't know what was happening between him and Sandy. He said the two had a "real connection" which prompted Nick, Sandy's original partner if they had been sleeping together. J.R. said they had slept in the same bed and Nick told him that wasn't what he asked.
The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On season 3 will air a new set of episodes on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, on Netflix.
