Sara Al Madani opened up about her relationship struggles in episode 12 of The Real Housewives of Dubai

In episode 12 of The Real Housewives of Dubai season 2, Sara opened up about being guilty of tolerating a toxic relationship with Akin. She met Saba, the reappearing cast of the show, to discuss her relationship struggles. Sara told her that she was mentally full and on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Saba reciprocated and said that she was there if she wanted to talk about it.

Sara and Akin are on a rough track in their relationship, as one can figure out from the previous episodes of the show. Sara had hired a personal detective to keep an eye on Akin and she found out that he was cheating, as she told Andy Cohen. She even revealed in episode 10 that had she declined a podcast invitation because Akin advised against it as he found the host to be inappropriate.

Sara explained to Saba that Akin had been putting in the effort but only to "brush things under the rug." He avoided conversations, and whenever they tried to have a conversation, it turned into an argument. She expressed her discontent with the kind of relationship she was in.

She said:

"I am not gonna settle. I am a single mom because I settled. I have been in abusive relationships because I settled. I got my money taken away and stolen because I settled. I am not settling anymore. You either level up a lot and meet where I am, or it is not gonna work."

She also added that she needed someone who could heal her rather than her healing somebody. She also accepted the fact that she felt guilty about leaving people, and therefore, it became hard for her to let go of Akin completely. She also discussed how difficult it was to be a single mother. She said:

"Going every morning to police and court for the nanny and doing everything for my son on my own, and then the nanny situation. Saba, I am tired. I have been strong all my life. I am tired of wearing superwoman cloak. I am tired. "

During the confessional in The Real Housewives of Dubai, after listening to Sara and her struggles, Saba said that Sara had "always been an independent woman," having been financially independent from her parents since early in life. She further emphasized Akin was being insecure as he was not as successful as Sara, and that he tried to control the situation.

The conversation ended with Sara expressing that for her, the end goal is marriage, and if things do not pan out accordingly, there is no future for this relationship.

All the episodes of The Real Housewives of Dubai air on Tuesday at 9 pm ET on Bravo. The next episode of season 2 The Real Housewives of Dubai will air on September 3, 2024.
