The long-awaited season 8 of Selling Sunset premiered on Netflix on Friday, September 6, 2024. While the agents of The Oppenheim Group navigated the high-stake real estate market of Los Angeles, California, old feuds and controversies among the cast members resurfaced, weakening many relationships.

In episode 3, titled Cat's Out of the Birkin Bag, Amanza invited everyone to her 47th birthday party. They expressed their excitement and agreed to attend the event, however, Chrishell seemed unsure. She did not want to be around Amanza's stylist who accused her of faking her gender orientation and criticized her relationship with partner, G Flip.

Amanza hesitated to restrict his entry into the party since he did all the work for free. As a result, Chrishell politely declined Amanza's invitation. Caught in between two people, Amanza said:

"So where I am with the stylist is...We're good. But now, with Chrishell, this is tricky, this is messy, because I don't wanna lose her friendship over this."

However, later on, Chrishell appeared at the event and confessed, while speaking to the cameras, that Amanza asked her stylist not to come to the party. The Selling Sunset cast member admitted she was relieved to hear that and appreciated Amanza's understanding gesture.

After Amanza invited everyone to the party, Chrishell asked her if her stylist was coming to the birthday party. When Amanza answered in the affirmative, Chrishell expressed her discomfort. She pointed out that not only was he against same-s*x relationships, but also "attacked" her and G Flip's marriage.

Chrishell, who had been married to G Flip since 2023, said:

"I'm not gonna be in the same room as him."

When Amanza noted that he was also a part of the LGBTQIA+ community, the Selling Sunset cast member said it did not justify his remarks about her private life. During her confessional, Chrishell explained what ensued between her and Amanza's stylist.

She revealed that the stylist went "on a very public rant" after she corrected him once, saying he was a stylist for her. Her correction upset the stylist and provoked him to publicly mock Chrishell's relationship with G Flip. He allegedly stated that the Selling Sunset star's gender orientation was "fake" and that she was "nothing but a green card to G."

Therefore when Amanza defended the stylist by pointing out that he was gay, Chrishell said:

"Does that excuse any of those comments? No, it makes it worse, to be honest."

Amanza told Chrishell that her stylist was not the only person who made those remarks, but Chrishell refused to believe that and said, "It was from his mouth." When she questioned Amanza why she still had him employed, she explained that he did everything for free. Since she did not have anyone else, she depended on his help.

The Selling Sunset star confessed she did not "agree at all with what the stylist said about G and Chrishell's relationship." She also made it clear that those things should never be repeated. However, she feared losing Chrishell's friendship when the latter refused to attend the party.

"I just don't wanna be in a space with that person. So I'm not gonna be there," Chrishell said.

However, Chrishell showed up at the birthday party and said it was because Amanza asked her stylist not to come. She was pleased to see Amanza choosing to respect her boundaries.

"Amanza told me the stylist I've had a problem with, won't be coming. And that just means a lot to me. It does feel like she's making a stand for our friendship, and I can't wait to celebrate her birthday," Chrishell said.

All episodes of Selling Sunset season 8 are available to stream only on Netflix.
