Big Brother season 26 got done with its regular rounds in week 7, with Joseph getting eliminated in episode 24, released on September 5. With week 8, the coveted season entered its jury rounds, where only two houseguests will be nominated instead of three, and they won't have any AI Arena to rely on.
Before Week 8 strikes on September 8, the Live Feeds section on Paramount+ has again given away integral details from the week. Chelsie secured the Head of Household and nominated Angela and Kimo, while Makensy won the historic OTEV competition, securing the Power of Veto.
As seen in the previous seasons of Big Brother, OTEV is a musical chairs-like competition, which eliminates one player each round, till there is a winner left. Quinn, Rubina, and Makensy were the only three people to compete in the PoV. It finished quickly because Makensy won the challenge in the first round itself as none of the other two knew the correct answers to the question.
Fans of Big Brother have come to X to praise Makensy's landslide win. Most praised her for winning in one round itself while others called her the queen of winning competitions.
"MAKENSY WON THE VETO OMG THIS MOTHER," a fan wrote.
"Why is Makensy always doing something iconic," said another.
"Makensy might f*ck around and win this season too. I think the 2 front-runners right now are her & Chelsie," a comment read.
"Makensy Jo Manbeck has won the Power of Veto! This marks her fourth competition win," read another.
Many Big Brother fans noted that she got the job done in just one round.
"Makensy was supposed to leave prejury yet she just won otev in ONE ROUND," wrote an X user.
"Lasting to the tie-breaker in the HoH and beating 5 person in one round in Veto, yeah she the MVP of this week," wrote another user.
"Makensy really won OTEV in ONE ROUND?! IKYFL!" a Tweet read.
"Makensy confirmed as the veto winner!! I told yall don’t doubt Makensy and her manifestations!! she literally has God on her side," a fan wrote.
Will Makensy use Power of Veto to save Angela or Kimo in week 8 of Big Brother season 26?
After Makensy secured her Power of Veto win on week 8 of Big Brother season 26, she discussed with Chelsie, the current HoH, and Cam. She didn't look keen on using the veto to save either of the two people because she talked about both of their evictions.
Weighing in on the pros of keeping Kimo on the target, Makensy recognized that he had two confirmed allies in T'kor and Rubina, who would vote for the next round when only three votes would be needed to be secure. If the trio wasn't broken up this week, they would triumph over others in the next.
Angela on the other hand, if not evicted this week, will disappoint the viewers who have been seeing her going up on the Block for the past two weeks. Makensy also considered Chelsie's decision to put either Quinn or Leah for renomination if she chose to use her Veto. Only the upcoming episodes will tell what she ended up doing.
