Love After Lockup season 5 premiered in September 2023 and released its episode 38 on Friday, September 13, 2024. The episode saw the couples as they fought to see a future with each other since their relationships didn't seem to be going too well.
While Zeruiah fought with Troy about his other bringing up her cheating from the past, True and Shonta disagreed on him accompanying her to the ultrasound center. Meanwhile, Hope and Arthur had issues because Hope wanted to get married.
Although Julian and Christine tried making things work, they faced several hurdles, including how Julian didn't want Christine to meet his children before meeting his ex-wife. He felt things would be safe if things were done this way.
Meanwhile, Christine was living with him, and because she had nowhere else to go, Julian said she could live in the attic when he had his children over. He told his Love After Lockup partner that he had his kids on Mondays, Tuesdays, and every other weekend.
Fans of Love After Lockup criticized Julian for hiding Christine in the attic, and not letting her meet his children. Others wondered if Julian was afraid of his ex-wife not allowing her children near Christine, a convicted bank robber. They speculated that this was why he kept his partner in the attic, which was a situation that others found funny.
They took to X to call out the Love After Lockup cast member for getting his partner to hide when he had his kids at his house.
"Julian really got Christine hiding up on the 3rd floor when his kids are there. This is ridiculous," said one fan.
"I guess u gotta do what u gotta do to keep an address for parole. Christine is better than me. I wouldn’t be hiding in no damn converted attic for hours while Julian’s kids are visiting. He had all this time to prepare his ex wife and kids!" said another.
"So Christine has to hide in an attic when his kids are over & now Julian is lying about having a job," a third fan said.
"The fact that Christine continues to hide from Julian's kids is totally weird!" another commented.
Love After Lockup fans also thought that the kids may find out that someone lives upstairs if they hear any noise. Some even pointed out that Julian wasn't starting of the relationship on a good note. They said that he wasn't just getting Christine to hide in the attic but was also lying about going to work.
"How old are Julian’s kids? They gotta know she lives there," a Tweet read.
"Julian's kids probably say: what's that fidgeting noise?" read another Tweet.
"The fact that Julian hasn’t told his ex-wife that Christine is there is weird, cause why you got her living in the Attic like them kids in that lifetime movie," an X user wrote.
"Julian is not starting this relationship with Christine off on a good note! He hasn’t told his kids about her, he got her living upstairs and hiding out when the kids are there and now he’s lying about going to work everyday!" wrote another user.
