Too Hot to Handle season 6 dropped three new episodes on Netflix on Friday, July 26, 2024. In episode five, the AI host, Lana, revealed that the prize amount had decreased to $137,000, after Flavia and Joao, and Louis and Katherine broke more rules.

Seeing the cast members disregard her rules, Lana gave the cast members another warning and told them that it was "time to be brave." Later in the episode, the AI host brought in an intimacy expert, Brenden Durell, to help the cast open up during a workshop to break the barriers they had around them.

"Many of my guests are still struggling with two qualities every healthy relationship needs, courage and honesty," Lana said.

For the workshop, Brenden paired the cast members up with people they were not romantically connected with to help them focus on personal growth. He handed each of them a mirror and asked them to look at themselves. While some contestants struggled with being vulnerable, others opened up about their insecurities and revealed why they act the way they do.

The Too Hot To Handle season 6 cast drops the "facade" in episode 5 workshop

In Too Hot to Handle season 6 episode 5, Lana enlisted help from intimacy expert Brenden Durrell to get the contestants to be honest and vulnerable. The cast members initially took the workshop lightly and named the superficial parts of themselves they liked. However, when Brenden asked them if anyone felt they had to put on a "facade," several hands went up.

"If we can't be real and honest with ourselves, who can we keep it real with? Nobody," Brenden said.

He asked the Too Hot to Handle season 6 cast members to look into the mirror and ask themselves if they were being "real" or if it was a facade. He asked Bri what she felt she had to project.

"I always feel like I have to have my guard up all the time because I don't want to get hurt. So, I don't really give too many chances to get hurt. I just kinda let it go," Bri said.

The female cast member's words touched a chord with Demari, who noted that he was starting to understand why it was hard for her to trust people. Recalling his behavior, he said he had let her down "so much" and admitted that Bri deserved better. He told the cameras that he needed to be open and honest so that Bri would pay attention to him.

Brenden asked Demari about how he felt when he looked in the mirror. At the time, the Too Hot to Handle season 6 cast member said that he felt the need to make everyone else believe he had it all figured out. He added that he would typically lie to people so as not to seem vulnerable.

"It looks like weakness from a man," he added.

When Brenden asked Katherine what she felt she needed to portray to the world, the cast member broke down in tears. She said she felt like she had to come across as a strong woman who has her "sh*t together."

"And I just see this person that all she wants is, like, to be loved for who she is," she added.

Seeing Katherine upset, Louis asked Charlie to hug her on his behalf. Charlie, who was interested in Katherine, told the cameras that hearing her open up melted his heart.

He added that he saw a different side of her that was capable of being vulnerable and could talk about feelings. The Too Hot To Handle season 6 cast member said he found it "really attractive." He told her that he could see a different side of her and that she had grown since she first entered the villa.

Brenden asked Charlie about his feelings next, and he said he tries his best every day to become someone he can be proud of. Charlie added that, because of those expectations, he put a lot of pressure on himself. The cast member added that although he could come across as "outgoing, funny," and "charismatic," he sometimes felt like a "little boy."

The first seven episodes of Too Hot to Handle season 6 are available to stream on Netflix.
