Too Hot to Handle season 6's first four episodes aired on July 19, 2024. Episode 1 introduced viewers to the show format in which contestants live in a retreat for a limited time period. Competing for the grand prize of a quarter of a million dollars, cast members must follow rules made by an AI virtual assistant, Lana.
Money from the grand prize is deducted each time a villa resident breaks the rule. However, in the premiere episode, Lana's clone Bad Lana took control of the retreat and encouraged contestants to get instant gratification by doing whatever they liked.
Bri and Charlie were the two players who pursued a physical connection with more than one co-star. When Lana got into power, she said Bri and Charlie could be a threat to her prize money. As as result, Bri and Charlie were sent to the banishment quarters.
Here's the official synopsis of Too Hot to Handle season 6 episode 1, titled Bad to the Cone:
"As the new players arrive at the villa, they can barely keep their hands off each other — and a surprise new twist means that they don't have to."
Bri and Charlie get banished on Too Hot to Handle season 6 episode 1
On Too Hot to Handle season 6 episode 1, Bri kissed two guys Demari and Chris. Meanwhile, Charlie kissed Katherine and Lucy. There was a love triangle situation between them. As these contestants weren't eying one person, Lana decided to evict them from the retreat.
Even though it was mentioned that there would be no fine charged when Bad Lana was in control, there definitely would be "consequences." Lana explained to the cameras that she wanted to see who would instantly follow their wishes without thinking twice, she said:
"Before I can help my guests evolve into the best versions of themselves, I need to see them at their worst. That's why I have created Bad Lana, a machine-learning system, with a singular mission to encourage humans to succumb to their baser instincts. But even though there are no fines until I resume control, that does not mean that there won't be consequences."
However, the major twist was that Bri and Charlie weren't eliminated from the game, instead they were sent to the banishment quarters. Here the two had access to cameras inside the retreat and could watch each cast member's every move.
Bri was excited to hear that she was getting another chance to be a part of the competition and wasn't going home. During her confessional interview, she said:
"What have you got for us now Lana? Do we get to watch? I want to do anything to get me back into the retreat."
The upcoming episodes will reveal new twists and rules.
