Too Hot to Handle season 6 premiered with episodes 1-4 on Friday, July 19. While the new batch of eligible singles were allowed to interact and forge connections with each other, they were barred from being intimate. The cast members struggled to deal with temptations, ultimately giving in and letting their impulsive thoughts control their actions.
While host Lana's counterpart Bad Lana caused chaos by allowing the players to break the retreat's rules, once she resumed her duties, she implemented her guidelines and put the contestants in a tight spot. As the show progressed, new contestants entered the cabana, hoping to cause drama.
Valentina and Cristian were the two new arrivals introduced in episode 4 of Too Hot to Handle. Lana also announced that the new contestants chose a person each to go on a date with. Valentina picked Bri's connection, Demari, and Cristian went with Louis' connection, Katherine.
The official synopsis of episode 4, titled Clock Blocked, read:
"Everyone's wondering whether the rule-breakers passed the celibacy challenge, until two new singles arrive, and take temptation to a whole other level."
Demari kisses Too Hot to Handle's newcomer Valentina in episode 4
In Too Hot to Handle episode 4, Bri was unhappy when she discovered that Valentina had picked Demari to go on a date with.
"I just started building my connection with Demari. We're all good and happy, and now this," Bri said.
At the same time, Louis felt apprehensive about Katherine's date with Cristian. However, that was not all. Lana sent Bri and Louis into banishment to give the new participants a fair chance to know their dates.
"Does out of sight mean out of mind? We will soon find out," Lana said.
While introducing himself, Chicago resident Cristian revealed he was an extroverted person, who did not hesitate to pursue the woman he fancied.
"When it comes to girls, I'm a pretty forward guy. I always initiate, and I always get what I want. I'm just too tempting," Cristian added.
He claimed that his witty personality and his appearance enticed women. He admitted he was a "competitive guy" and would go head-to-head with other men if the woman he liked was at stake. He further stated that unless he saw "a ring" on a woman's finger, he would try to form a connection with her.
Colombia resident Valentina arrived with her eyes set on Too Hot to Handle co-star Demari. She introduced herself as a confident woman, who got what she wanted.
"My second name is drama. I treat boys like playthings. I like to play around with them," Valentina said.
Valentina approached the competition with a clear mindset. She knew she wanted a "strong man" who could handle a bold woman like her. With a "thousand percent success rate," she knew men would not be able to resist her.
The new contestants, popularly known as 'grenades,' were given one hour to impress their dates. Valentina was amazed by Demari's demeanor, and the duo immediately hit it off.
"I can tell I'm his type and the woman of his dreams, and I want him," Valentina added.
Meanwhile, Cristian confidently approached Katherine, unbothered by the fact that she already had a connection with Louis. By the end of their dates, Demari and Valentina gave in to their temptations and kissed. However, Cristian ran out of time before he could kiss Katherine.
Both the new arrivals left a lasting mark on their dates. However, whether they were impressed enough to leave their partners, was not revealed.
Too Hot to Handle season 6 will return to Netflix with episodes 5-7 on July 26.
