On Saturday, December 14, 2024, 90 Day Fiance's official Instagram handle shared a preview of the upcoming 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days episode. The clip featured Veah's meeting with her partner, Sunny, and his father. The conversation mainly unfolded between Veah and Sunny's father, during which the latter disapproved of Veah's tattoos.

Earlier episodes revealed that Veah was yet to meet Sunny's parents. While she was prepared to face them, Sunny kept delaying the meeting, worried they might disapprove of their relationship. Sunny explained that he kept dismissing the sit-down because he had never introduced a girl to his parents but Veah believed he was hiding her from them.

One of Sunny's major concerns was Veah's tattoos, which were strongly prohibited in his culture. He often asked her to cover them while meeting his friends or acquaintances. In the preview, when Sunny's father saw Veah wearing a top that covered her tattoos, he said:

"Tattoo totally wrong."

Although the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days female cast member tried to explain their story and significance, Sunny's father refused to reason with her and asked her to remove them in the future.

In the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days preview, Sunny brought Veah to a restaurant to introduce her to his father and seek his approval. However, the meeting quickly changed directions after Sunny's father started discussing cultural practices and norms with Veah.

He knew about Sunny's relationship and was aware that the woman he was dating came from a different cultural background. Consequently, when he saw Veah wearing an outfit covering her arms and the tattoos, he asked her where she bought it from.

"Sunny took me to go get it. I don't normally dress like this," Veah answered.

Sunny's father stated that although she did not wear such outfits, it was "good" that she covered herself and her tattoos. He told the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days female cast member that his culture disapproved of tattoos and she needed to respect that.

Veah retorted that Sunny liked her tattoos. However, Sunny's father disagreed, saying Sunny was his son and he knew what he preferred. Meanwhile, Sunny listened in disbelief with his head bowed down.

The 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days cast member's father tried to convince Veah to accept his perspective by explaining that tattoos were considered "wrong" in some other cultures as well. With that said, he hoped Veah would have them removed in the future. However, she refused to obey. Instead, she went on to detail the tattoos' meanings.

"They tell a story of my life," Veah said.

She revealed that one of her tattoos narrated her family's story and had the date of her brother's passing written on it. Since they held personal significance, Veah confessed it would be uncomfortable for her to have them removed.

Despite her explanation, Sunny's father refused to budge from his perspective, urging her to remove them a few months later. He then questioned Veah about how she planned on adjusting to the cultural differences, to which she replied that she was still "figuring it out."

Sunny's father then asked Veah if she would convert her religion if needed. Hearing that, she nodded her head in disagreement.
