The Valley star Brittany Cartwright recently opened up about her estranged husband Jax Taylor’s infidelity during a candid interview on Bravo’s Hot Mic podcast.

Cartwright, 35, revealed that Taylor, 45, broke a significant agreement while navigating their separation, leading her to catch him with other women in their shared Los Angeles home twice. She explained how they had agreed to keep potential love interests away from their home and their 3-year-old son, Cruz.

“Just please don’t have girls at the house,” She recalled telling Taylor.

Despite this, Taylor disregarded the rule, prompting Cartwright to catch him in compromising situations.

“I don’t know if he had anybody around Cruz, but he definitely had people at my house because I caught him both times,” she stated. “Only two times I caught him. I’m sure there was other times, but I caught him twice, and I was like, man!”

Cartwright did not elaborate on the specific incidents but shared that Taylor’s actions contributed to her firm decision to divorce after five years of marriage.

The Valley star Brittany and Jax's divorce journey

In the same Hot Mic podcast episode, Cartwright reflected on her separation from Taylor, saying she felt confident in her choice to end their marriage.

“I’m so glad I did. I’m not changing my mind,” she said, adding, “I’m so happy with this decision.”

The couple had shocked their fans in February when Cartwright announced they were taking time apart. She officially filed for divorce in August, coinciding with the filming of Season 2 of The Valley.

Before the divorce filing, Taylor entered an inpatient treatment center in July to address his mental health struggles. In September, he revealed he had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.

However, Cartwright suggested that Taylor’s efforts were not enough, claiming he “rage texted” her throughout his time in treatment. She stated,

“Like, if you’re in therapy seven hours a day and you’re still finding time to call me names and cuss me out... you’re obviously not ever gonna change.”

The Valley: Brittany’s recent fling with Jax’s friend

Aside from Taylor’s infidelity, Cartwright admitted to having her fling with one of his friends. Addressing the situation on Hot Mic, she clarified that it wasn’t planned and that they had no formal agreement forbidding dating within the friend group.

“[Jax and I] did not have a no dating in the friend group policy,” she shared. “We never spoke about that because why would we?”

The reality star recalled how her relationship with the unnamed friend started playfully, with flirty DMs leading to in-person meetings. “He’s very much my type,” Cartwright admitted, though she did not confirm whether the man in question was Julian Sensley, whom she had been linked to recently.

Despite her actions, Cartwright stated she was unmoved by Taylor’s feelings, noting that he never cared about how he hurt her in the past.

The fallout and Brittany’s new ventures

Cartwright has since focused on moving forward from her relationship with Taylor. She shared that she’s currently single, not actively dating, and is instead focused on the future. Her plans include picturing a life with a man with kids, similar to her, which she believes would make things easier.

In addition to navigating her personal life, Cartwright is preparing to launch her bar in West Hollywood. The venture will be called 'Britt’s,' expanding on the restaurant business she and Taylor initially started together. “A lot has changed since we started that,” she noted, referencing their previous partnership on Jax’s.

Page six confirmed on November 12, 2024, that The Valley “viewers will see more when the season airs.” Bravo has yet to announce an official release date for The Valley Season 2, but Cartwright's candid revelations are expected to fuel anticipation among fans.

Fans will have to wait for the official release date of The Valley.
