The Golden Bachelorette episode 6 was released exclusively on ABC on October 23, 2024. In this episode, Joan went on hometown dates with her final four suitors, learned more about their family backgrounds, and met their friends.
During these one-on-one dates, Joan talked about her fears linked to starting a new chapter of her life. As fans already know, with one suitor being sent home, Joan has three suitors to select from and get engaged to one of them. In episode 6, The Golden Bachelorette star shared she was "very protective" of her heart when it comes to opening up.
She admitted to not being at a "love place yet" but could see herself moving towards a pathway and realizing who she feels the strongest connection with. She said:
“I don’t think I’m at the love place yet because I’m very protective of my heart, but I’m moving in that direction. I hope this is a transformative week."

On The Golden Bachelorette October 23, 2024 episode, Joan went on a date with the final four suitors to their hometowns. During her date with Guy, Joan went to Lake Tahoe to meet his family, where she expressed her feelings about her late husband, John. Joan confessed it was difficult for her to "let go of John," she said:
“I deserve to have love, but I have to let go of a John a little bit to do this. But that is still kind of hard for me.”
Then Joan went on a date with Pascal to meet his daughter and son. When it was time for her confessional interview, Joan told the cameras that Pascal still had his walls up. The Golden Bachelorette star admitted to having strong feelings for him but was afraid of getting her heartbroken as she could sense Pascal wasn't ready yet. She said:
“The fact that his walls are up makes me a little hesitant because I have strong feelings for him, so I don’t want my heart to be broken. I’m not sure if he’s ready. I don’t know if he’ll ever get there. All this is getting really real, and I’m getting scared.”
Next up were hometown dates with Jordan and Chock. Joan shared she was "confused" about whether Jordan considered their relationship worth putting effort into, "trying" and making certain sacrifices. After her date, The Golden Bachelorette star shared she could see a future with him despite her fears regarding what her final decision would be.
“I feel confused. I don’t think Jordan knows where he’s gonna be, but he’s currently opening to continuing this on."
To Chock, Joan assured she could see a future with him:
"There is something real here. I see a future now. Big black hole ... it doesn’t look like a big black hole anymore.”
The upcoming episodes will reveal who Joan is leaning toward as her final choice among Guy, Chock, and Pascal now that Jordan has been sent home.
