Love is Blind season 7 was one of the most dramatic seasons which kept viewers on the hook to find out whether the participating contestants ended up with their potential partners. One of the couples this season, Tim and Alex connected in the pods and were ready to get married in the real world. However soon the issues between them escalated leading to more problems in their relationship.
Recently, Tim took to his official Instagram account and implied that his relationship with Alex was toxic and that he was manipulated by her. In an exclusive interview with Vulture on October 18, 2024, Love is Blind cast member Alex addressed these statements disagreeing with what Tim said. Alex shared that Tim was "strategic" in not talking about their issues and confrontations on camera. She said:
"Tim was very, very strategic on what he talked about in front of the camera, and I allowed that, because if he doesn’t want to share something, he doesn’t have to."

Love is Blind contestant Alex shares that keeping arguments off-camera with Tim wasn't a mutual decision
The Love is Blind cast member Alex shared in her interview that Tim would only address their conflicts and issues once they had conversations off-camera. Alex said she could understand that Tim might not want to discuss every aspect of their personal lives on camera. But it was a surprise to her how Tim would wait to have difficult conversations once the cameras weren't around.
Alex shared that their conversations would escalate into arguments as they both came from "different worlds" and understood situations differently. However, according to Alex, Tim didn't realize that her opinions mattered in their relationship equally. Alex elaborated on the compatibility issue with Tim, she said:
"That was one of the things we were not compatible with, was him understanding that there are two people in this relationship. It’s not just your way or the highway, or your opinion is what matters. It’s both."
When the interviewer asked the Love is Blind contestant if she would want an off-camera moment to be shown in the TV show. Alex responded with a yes saying that Tim "shutting down" was a trait he got from his mother as mentioned by his mom herself. Alex explained that Tim wouldn't make an effort to understand her point of view as he was focused on sharing his side of the story. Alex further elaborated:
"But a lot of times, our disagreements would be him just speaking and not really caring about my opinion or my thoughts. It was literally just him. We both like to talk things out."
Alex also talked about how Tim was handling the situation on social media and clarifying why they broke up, she said:
"However, I think the way he’s handling it is not helping. And personal text messages … not that any really big information was sent, but I thought that was inappropriate. That’s his choice."
