W.A.G.s to Riches episode 2 recap: Mjaé reflects on her arrest while Porsha hosts a party

W.A.G.s to Riches premiered on Netflix on January 22, introducing a group of affluent women and their "glamorous, drama-filled lives."

Episode 2 kicked off with Sharelle Rosado and family enjoying their time on a yacht. Sharelle then had a conversation with her partner Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson and the two exchanged thoughts on what they had in mind for the destination wedding.

Elsewhere, Julz Goddard talked about her situation with ex-fiancé, Duke Riley. Meanwhile, Maranda Johnson opened up about her recent assault charges that led to her spending a night in prison.

Later in the episode, Porsha Berto hosted a party for her lifestyle brand and invited all of her fellow cast mates. Titled Queen Bees and Wannabes, the synopsis for the episode reads:

"After touring a $49M listing, Keeta tells Sharelle why she has a problem with Sadé. A shouting match breaks out at a boozy brunch."

Julz Goddard talks about her relationship with her ex-fiance

In W.A.G.s to Riches episode 2, Sadé Vanessa and Julz Goddard later meet for lunch, where Julz opens up about a recent meeting with her ex-fiancé, Duke Riley. She admitted they had a pleasant time together but expressed confusion about whether she wanted to rekindle their relationship.

Julz also shared her concerns about how this decision might impact their daughter, who wasn’t accustomed to having her parents live together. She worried about how resuming a relationship with Duke might affect her daughter’s well-being.

She also noted that she had to give up a lot of big career opportunities because of her former fiance Duke.

"My only hope is for River to know what a real man is. That protects, provides, inspires. This is what I demand. I will either be rich and alone or I will be in a relationship with a loving, caring man who provides and supports all my endeavors," the W.A.G.s to Riches star concluded.

Mjaé opens up on her recent arrest

Later in the episode, Maranda Johnson aka Mjaé went to her studio to record one of her songs. After working on her song she sat down with some of her friends and reflected on the recent incident which led to her arrest.

The W.A.G.s to Riches star shared that she and her kids were invited by her boyfriend Kodak Black to his boat. She couldn't make it so her mom took her kids to meet their dad at the boat.

Mjaé found out that one of Kodak's children's mother was also on the boat and made several videos dancing knowing that it would poke her. She got angry and got involved in a fight with the mother.

Mjaé further revealed that she had been arrested for assault and spent an entire night in a filthy prison cell before being presented in court the following morning.

"The charges are burglary, assault, with grand theft. She told him I touched her car door, opened her car door. The door was already motherf**kin' open 'cause she was trying to mace me. I kicked the mace out of her hand," the W.A.G.s to Riches star added.

At the end of the episode, Mjaé met with her mother and shared her plan to focus on raising her two children while pursuing both her real estate and rap careers.

Porsha hosts a party

After touring a $49M listing, Keeta Hill sat down with Sharelle and opened up about her issues with Sadé. She revealed that her concerns stemmed from a previous interaction, during which she and several other women had shared a suite with Sadé.

Keeta explained that she had initially wanted to film for Hard Knocks but was unable to due to a severe blizzard. When she later suggested filming in their shared suite, Sadé immediately rejected the idea.

Later in the episode, Porsha hosted a party for her lifestyle brand Bad Bxtch Good Mom. She started the company because she wanted other women and moms to feel heard. All of the W.A.G.s to Riches cast joined the party except for Lastonia Leviston aka Stoni.

During their sit-down, Maranda Johnson confronted Sharelle, accusing her of being "mean." Maranda referenced the cocktail party from the previous episode, where Sharelle told Stoni that she didn’t want to be associated with her.
