Love is Blind star Marissa shared behind-the-scenes moments surrounding her breakup that weren't featured on the show

Marissa and Ramses were one of the six Love is Blind couples who got engaged after establishing a bond in the pods. They had confidence in their relationship and were envisioning getting married.

However, a few days before their wedding ceremony, Ramses told Marissa that he wasn't ready to take the risk and wasn't feeling her energy the way he felt inside the pods. The couple eventually decided to break up.

In her interview with Glamour, Marissa shared that she wanted to work on her relationship with her Love is Blind partner. She offered to not get married and take things at their own pace. If believed that they were moving fast then they could just stay engaged. Marissa further revealed that they never intended to get married on the show.

"I offered to not get married. We can stay engaged, or we can do everything on our own timeline. We don’t have to move in immediately. That was never the plan anyway. We don’t have to be engaged to date. It was a hard no," she said.

In the interview, Marissa also shared the incidents that led to their break-up talk in the Love is Blind season 7 finale. She said that two days before the conversation, Ramses met with his friend who was close to his ex-wife.

Later that night the program associate was emotional and expressed to his Love is Blind partner that he hadn't realized just how much he hurt his wife. Marissa had a bad feeling about the situation and said in the interview:

"I remember looking at him and thinking, This is somehow going to f**k us up. That was probably the only time I thought this might not work out."

A day later, Marissa revealed that during a call with his friend, Ramses referred to her as a girl who is "just so full of energy." This comment irked her slightly. She reacted:

"He made me sound crazy. I literally got up from the conversation. I don’t want to be here if you’re gonna talk about me like that."

Marissa shared that on the day of their break up, she called Ramses who told her that he was starting to have doubts and began crying during the phone call. Hearing him in an emotionally doubtful state she drove an hour and a half back to DC where their eventual break up took place.
