"When i came back, I just thought, like, I just wanted to make you feel better. And so, I lied to you, basically."
The transcendent journey of Charlie and Katherine from Too Hot To Handle
Charlie and Katherine instantly hit it off on day one of Too Hot To Handle season 6. Although, Charlie got banished on day one for kissing multiple girls putting a hold on his relationship with Kathrine. Episode 2 of Too Hot To Handle brought new arrivals into the show, opening the way to love for Katherine. Louis and Katherine coupled together, and Charlie on re-entry chose Lucy as his partner.
However, Charlie and Lucy did not last long as during a workshop in episode 5, Charlie realized that he would like to have another chance to get to know Katherine. Later in episode 6, Katherine and Charlie return to each other after confessing their deeper emotional connection and sharing their vulnerabilities.
The couple seemed to be going strong until episode 7, where 'Cheeky Charlie' got to go on a date with the new arrival, Sabrina Zima. After the date, things started to stumble between Charlie and Katerine as Charlie opted to lie about his date and what happened there. Charlie told Katherine that they just chatted about each other and nothing happened beyond that.
On the other hand, in episode 8, Sabrina decided to talk to Katherine about the date and told her that they gave each other back massages. Katherine felt betrayed and wanted to call things off with Charlie. Charlie later approached her and told her why he lied about the date, and he had been feeling terrible about the way he dealt with the situation. Katherine developed apprehensions regarding Charlie because of his actions. She said:
"I have been hurt by men a lot in my life. And, you, lying to me hurt me a lot, and I am really disappointed. It all makes sense why we did not get the green light."
In episode 8, the girls were called out for another workshop to let go of their difficulties in expressing their vulnerabilities. The workshop did work out for Katherine and she decided to talk to Charlie. Charlie took this opportunity to explain himself better and made Katherine feel comfortable about their bond. Charlie shared:
"Today has not been easy for me, knowing that I have disappointed you. It is about the way I act when you are not there, and as well as I act when you are there, so, I have to hold myself accountable. So, I literally gonna sit there, and be honest, and tell you I fu**ed up. I am sorry."

Katherine decided to give one more chance to Charlie as she felt he was being honest. They both expressed they missed each other and they felt a deep connection. Things became perfect as the couple got the green light from Lana as they ended their conversation.
