The Real Housewives of Potomac season 9 cast includes Gizelle Bryant, Ashley Darby, Karen Huger, Dr. Wendy Osefo, and Mia Thornton. Cast members Stacey Rusch and Keiarna Stewart, alongside Jacqueline Blake and Jassi Rideaux, have also joined the OG Housewives. So far, episodes of the reality TV series have been giving viewers an update on what the housewives have been up to.

In the newly released episode 6, Ashley Darby shared an update regarding her split with her soon-to-be ex-husband, Michael Darby. During the girl's trip, Ashley told her friends that she and Michael had established some rules about getting back into the dating pool.

Before introducing the kids to their new love interests, they will have to meet the partners first.

“Similarly, if he’s ever gonna have a woman around, we have an agreement that I meet her first," Ashley said.

The Real Housewives of Potomac season 9 episode 6, titled Shady Waters, was released exclusively on Bravo TV on November 10, 2024. The episode synopsis reads as the following:

"The group is shook as they navigate the fallout from the messy breakfast; Gizelle returns to Lake Norman; Mia takes the ladies on a detour to unwind before trying to work things out with Keiarna."

The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member talks about her divorce in episode 6

On The Real Housewives of Potomac season 9 episode 6, Ashley shared that Michael and she had a strict rule to follow while dating other people. The pair is soon to be divorced, after their recent split. They have decided to keep their focus on co-parenting their children, and making sure their parting ways is smooth as the kids are the main priority.

Ashley shared that if she is dating someone new, she would first arrange a meeting with Michael, before introducing the love interest to her sons. She also stated that the same rule applies to Michael as well.

Upon hearing this, Karen shared her opinion that kids shouldn't be involved until the relationship reaches a more serious stage— for example, an engagement to solidify the commitment.

Meanwhile, Keiarna Stewart stated that it was better to see how the new love interests interact with children to get a better idea of the relationship itself. The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member Jassi Rideaux agreed with Karen.

“I do agree with what Karen said. I am in a situation where my significant other does have children and it can be very tricky even if you’re very serious within relationships. I would say once you knew that engagement was around the corner would be a more clever time,” Jassi said.

Later in the episode, Ashley opened up about getting a divorce soon and called the process of ending a chapter in her life "nerve-wracking." During her confessional interview, she told the cameras how music had helped her in this tough time, she mentioned:

“Over these last couple months, I’m like re-finding myself, leaving my ex-husband and living on my own, you know, being a single mom and everything. So, I really leaned into what brings me joy and happiness and that is singing and writing music.”

New episodes of The Real Housewives of Potomac season 9 air every Sunday at 8/7c exclusively on Bravo TV and on Peacock TV.
