“We can do it”: Love is Blind Mexico star Irais agrees to be with Rene after the show

Netflix released the Love is Blind Mexico finale on Thursday, August 15, 2024. Both episodes featured all the engaged couples and how they chose to end their journey. While some couples decided to keep dating, a few ended their relationship and parted ways on good terms, and one also got married on this dating reality show.

One of these engaged couples on Love is Blind Mexico included Irais Ramirez, 30, and her fiancee, Rene Angeles, 34. They walked down the aisle on the show finale but didn’t get married. It happened after Rene revealed he wasn’t ready for the next step.

However, when he expressed his wish to keep building their relationship, Irais agreed.

Love is Blind Mexico finale saw the bride and groom arrive at the wedding venue in separate limos, and their friends and family joined them later. Irais was quite happy before the wedding, describing it as “a dream come true” for her. On the other hand, Rene felt happy and “really anxious” before the ceremony.

Rene’s mother joined him right before the wedding, and he soon learned that his father was not coming.

"He doesn’t think it’s credible to say you’re in love after only one month," confessed Rene’s mother.

After the couple shared their vows, the notary posed the big question to Rene first, who shared:

"Irais, I know that love is blind because I found someone wonderful and magical, but I’m really not ready to take this step."

After the ceremony in which Irais and Rene didn’t get married, Irais confessed that that wasn’t how she imagined the day would go. Rene admitted that his choice was right, but the timing was not right. He added that Irais was the right person for him.

When Rene came to Irais after the ceremony, she asked him what had happened. She wanted to know what exactly made Rene say no. He shared that there were a few reasons, but he knew they would make "a strong team" together. He then mentioned that his father was not there that day, making it difficult for Rene.

"I feel like I failed you. But I also would have failed you if I lied, and wasn’t honest with you or myself. ‘Cause at the end of the day, I love you," shared Rene.

Irais also shared that if the notary had asked her the question first, she would have said yes because she "genuinely" wanted to.

"I think this can work if we do it on our own pace, and in a way that’s maybe more relaxed, if you still want to," asked Rene.

He asked Irais whether she still wanted to be his partner and be together. He wanted to keep working on their relationship. He added that it was not about Irais but about himself.

Love is Blind Mexico's finale episode ended with Rene asking Irais whether she was willing to keep building "something" with him and working together. Irais agreed and shared that she was ready and knew that they could do it.

She also confessed that their story has been "very different" from everyone else’s. Irais added that, in the end, just because it didn’t happen to them didn’t mean that they couldn’t be happy together in the future.
