Special Forces: World's Toughest Test season 3 episodes 1 and 2 premiered on FOX on January 8, 2025. The reality show returned with a new batch of celebs pushing their limits in some of life's most grueling physical and mental obstacles.
Actress Denise Richards and reality TV star Trista Sutter were among the 16 celebrities who embraced the challenge. On January 8, they appeared on FOX 7 Austin News to share their experiences.
The news anchor noted that Special Forces: World's Toughest Test was the "complete opposite" of Denise's reality how experience on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. This prompted her to ask about the FOX show's filming.
Denise explained that the experience was incredibly raw, as they were stripped down and left completely vulnerable, with no makeup or personal belongings allowed.
However, she expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to go through such an experience and forge meaningful bonds with her fellow celebrity contestants.
"We're not allowed to wear makeup or bring things with us. It was truly just us. I'm so glad that I did it. I would never have had this opportunity before. I'm really grateful that I got to meet everyone and all of us bonding together. That's one of the biggest things that I really do take away from doing the show," she said.
Special Forces: World's Toughest Test contestants Denise Richards and Trista Sutter reflect on being on the reality show
On Special Forces: World's Toughest Test, contestants Denise Richards and Trista Sutter underwent an actual Special Forces selection process, participating in some of its tough challenges.
Considering this, the FOX 7 Austin News anchor asked Denise to describe the "most intense challenge" she had faced on the reality show.
Denise noted that all the challenges were "very intense and very challenging". She added that the show differed from the things she had done before and pushed her to step out of her comfort zone.
"I knew it was going to be challenging, but it was a lot more difficult than I thought it would be," she continued.
The anchor then turned her attention to Trista, asking if there was ever a moment during the show when she regretted her decision to participate.
The Bachelor Nation alum responded that she had no regrets as she tried to live her life to the fullest. She added that even though Special Forces: World's Toughest Test was "really intense and really difficult," she was always grateful for the opportunity to be on the show.
"No. I try to live my life without regrets and honestly, I still, and while it was happening, even though it was really intense and really difficult, was so grateful for the opportunity to be on the show," she said.
Tristan was asked to elaborate on her experience, sharing her thoughts on whom she enjoyed the most working with among her fellow Special Forces: World's Toughest Test celebrity contestants.
She first mentioned Denise, noting that she loved working with her and that they had a great time together.
Without going into too much detail, Tristan mentioned that she also loved her time with Cam Newton, Golden Tate, and Nathan Adrian, whom she later described as her "big burly Angels".
Further, she added that she liked Christy Carlson Romano and her fellow Bachelor Nation alum Ali Fedotowsky-Manno.
"Honestly, I loved everybody. Like everyone was amazing. And like Denise said, I don't think I would have had the opportunity to meet most of these people, let alone go something together like this without it being special forces. So I just hope that everyone tunes in because it is a really amazing show," she concluded.
New episodes of Special Forces: World's Toughest Test season 3 will air every Wednesday on FOX.
