Love Island USA season 6 aired its finale on Sunday, July 21, 2024. While viewers were shown much of what went on inside the villa, there were some conversations and perspectives they could not access.
Once the show concluded and the islanders stepped out of the Fijian villa, fans were curious to get their hands on some behind-the-scenes information. Love Island USA season 6 finalists JaNa Craig and Kenny Rodriguez were featured in the latest episode of the Chicks in the Office podcast released on Monday, July 22, 2024.
In one of the podcast's segments, JaNa was asked about her friendship with co-star Rob Rausch. She refused to call their relationship a "friendship" and preferred branding Rob as more of an acquaintance. She mentioned they had just a couple of conversations when both were single.

"We just motivated each other, like, you know, your person is coming, blah, blah, blah, just 'cause we saw that we were both sad, great talk. That was it," JaNa said.
During their stay inside the Love Island USA villa, JaNa and Rob had a private conversation regarding their relationship status, which made them look like close friends. However, JaNa differed from the general perspective.

JaNa was asked to share her thoughts on her friendship with islander Rob. Upon hearing the word "friendship," JaNa giggled, which surprised the hosts, Ria and Fran. When they asked why she laughed, she told them that the two weren't friends.
"No, what did y'all see with friendship with Rob? We walked past the hallway, what's up what's up," the islander noted.
JaNa hinted that she was not close with Rob at all. After Rob's breakup with Leah Kateb, he was coupled up with "bombshell" Andrea Carmona. However, in the next elimination, Andrea found herself in the bottom three after receiving an underwhelming number of votes from the viewers.
The safe female islanders were granted the final say to vote off one woman from the three unsafe ones. They decided to "dump" Andrea, which left Rob single. He struggled to internalize the decision and was on the verge of leaving with his Love Island USA partner. However, he eventually decided to stay.
At the same time, JaNa's partner, Connor Newsum, betrayed her by recoupling with Leah. So, since both were single, JaNa admitted they had a "heart-to-heart" as the "only single" islanders. JaNa confessed that her relationship with Rob lasted only for a few conversations since they were incompatible.
"He called me talkative, I'm like homie, we had two conversations together, like, what are you talking about," said JaNa.
The hosts asked JaNa to shed light on her understanding of Rob and Leah's relationship. In episode 13, after Andrea was evicted from the villa, JaNa urged Rob to rekindle his relationship with Leah, but he felt apprehensive about reuniting with his ex-partner.
"Connor and Leah could be great. It's just that we've all agreed that Leah and Rob could be stronger," the islander said.
In another Love Island USA episode, JaNa encouraged Leah to reconnect with Rob since she thought she might have a better bond with him than her partner, Miguel. When asked about the same in the podcast, JaNa said that while she couldn't stand Rob, she did "love Leah" and wanted to see her happy.
"Even though I can't stand Rob, I love Leah. It's, like, I wanna see her happy. If it's someone happy with I can't stand, okay my girl's feelings come first," JaNa stated.
She added that Leah was "passionate" about Rob. As a result, when he left her for Andrea, she "called him names." She pulled herself away from the love triangle out of respect, which is why JaNa knew "she still had feelings for Rob."
Despite her personal feelings for Rob, JaNa motivated Leah to reapproach him, hoping to arrange the "comeback of the season." However, Leah ultimately decided not to engage with her ex-partner any further.
Love Island USA season 6 finalist JaNa confirmed that whatever conversations she had with Rob were only for "her girl" Leah's sake.
