Brandi Glanville recently posted a photo through her official account on X (formerly Twitter), which has raised concerns among her fans. The former model shared a selfie on December 8, 2024, which featured her disfigured face after contracting angioedema last year. She wrote below the photo:

"Sick it!"

Brandi Glanville's photo shows swollen patches of her skin. She used glasses to remove the hair from her face and reveal it on camera.

Angioedema is a condition leading to swelling in the tissue below the dermis, the skin's inner layer, or the layer below a mucous membrane, as per Cleveland Clinic. It usually impacts the eyes and lips and can sometimes be dangerous, affecting the airways.

There are various forms of angioedema, such as acute allergic, idiopathic, hereditary, and vibratory. Certain symptoms of the condition include a puffy or swollen face, hands, feet, and genitals or dizziness and fainting due to changes in blood pressure.

Brandi Glanville has been battling with the symptoms of angioedema since October 2023. Notably, a source for Entertainment Tonight stated at the time that she was hospitalized after collapsing and her eyes also shut down.

The insider added that Brandi has been dealing with a lot of stress after her The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip co-star Caroline Manzo claimed that Glanville allegedly kissed and touched her in the private part without permission. The source also mentioned:

"She hasn't been able to work since the false claims were brought against her and now it's taking a toll on her physically."

Brandi Glanville opened up about her diagnosis of angioedema earlier this year

As mentioned, Brandi Glanville has been struggling with her skin condition for almost a year. The Vanderpump Rules star appeared for an interview with Entertainment Tonight in January 2024, revealing all the details about the health issues she suffered before being diagnosed with angioedema. She explained how she was able to talk and added:

"My ability to taste food, my face basically would swell up, like I would have anaphylactic shock constantly and I saw 7 doctors and their answer to it was it was stress-induced angioedema."

Furthermore, Brandi Glanville also recalled the time when she was transported to the hospital, revealing that her son contacted 911 and that she received "very disappointing news" at the same time as she was speaking to Andy Cohen on the phone.

Glanville said that she was hospitalized for around two days after her hands "blew up," and an ambulance arrived a few moments later. She stated that her life was affected as a result of the incident and continued:

"My boyfriend and I broke up. I can't pucker my top lips still, because it swelled up so much… it would swell up and go down, swell up and go down. … And now, I can't kiss. It is hard to talk because the inside of my mouth gets swollen."

Brandi Glanville mentioned that she eventually approached plastic surgeon Dr. John Layke, who advised her to go for a non-surgical procedure called EmFace, which can restore the skin. Glanville addressed the same by saying:

"I thought that was my new normal. I was just going to be this giant pumpkin head. It's insane. I took my health for granted."

The 52-year-old has gained recognition for frequent appearances on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She also has other popular shows in her credits, such as 90210, Celebrity Big Brother, Family Reunion, and The Traitors.
