Love is Blind: Habibi aired its reunion special this week on November 1, 2024, at 3 am ET. The segment saw the cast return to the Netflix screens as they gave fans an update about their lives after the show. The finale saw three couples decide their fates and while one tied the knot, the other two decided to continue to date.

During Love is Blind: Habibi reunion episode, Khaled and Elham asked Khatab and Asma if they would continue their relationship after the show. The cast member revealed that his demanding job became one of the reasons their couple broke up.

Khatab explained that he had told Asma from Day 1 that he wanted a woman who aligned with his life. He said he had explained that he wanted a woman who could "harmonize" with his lifestyle and that he worked from 6 am to 3 am.

The Love is Blind: Habibi star stated that it was "great" in the beginning because Asma also had her own job and career. He added that men and women were "different" and that a woman liked attention and "constant communication." Asma chimed in and said that wasn't all.

"During this period, we couldn't see eye to eye," Khatab added.

The Love is Blind: Habibi cast member stated he and Asma knew it was "better to be friends." He added that his work would continue to be demanding in the long run and said he bore part of the responsibility.

Asma also shared her point of view and said there was more to the story. She stated that she understood Khatab's point of view since she was also career-oriented. She said that she wanted someone who would be "emotionally" and "physically" present and someone who could support her.

"We couldn't find that middle ground at that point," she said.

Asma said she was "very happy" with their current dynamics as friends. She said looks were "definitely one" but that there were many other important layers that should be considered before making a big decision.

Asma added that affection and understanding last over time; she stated that values also played a major part. When asked about money and if it was important. Asma said that it was why she picked Khatab over Mido.

She said that while money was one of the things, the communication between Mido and Asma was not great either. She said that although their relationship was fun, they couldn't reach a deeper layer with the Love is Blind: Habibi star.

Khatab said that Asma was his number one and that the reveal was a shock. He said when they first met, she seemed stressed and he couldn't figure out why. He added it made him doubt their relationship. Asma explained that it was "intense" and that she was "speechless" when the doors opened.

She said that although people believed it was because she was unhappy with his looks, she had told the producers she wanted to speak to him because she didn't want him to think that was the reason.
