The finale of Love Never Lies: South Africa was released on Netflix on Friday, December 6, 2024. The episode, titled Time To Come Clean, saw the six couples of the social experiment reunite one last time to face EyeDetect's questioning. Among them were Bohlale and Nancy, who stood at a crossroads after infidelity crept into their relationship.
Bohlale cheated on Nancy with Mia, who joined the experiment as a single and stayed with the cast members for a few days. After Nancy learned about Bohlale's infidelity, she felt devastated. She confessed it hurt her feelings and compelled her to second-guess his love for her.
In the finale, more truths were revealed and secrets exposed, worsening Nancy's situation. Nancy struggled to compose herself when the final EyeDetect test disclosed that Bohlale had cheated on her even before the show. Despite the revelation, the Love Never Lies: South Africa cast member was ready to forgive Bohlale because of how deeply she loved him.

Bohlale and Nancy joined the experiment with clear goals in mind. While Bohlale wanted to strengthen their relationship's foundation, Nancy wanted to resolve their intimacy issues.
In the earlier episodes, Nancy spoke at length about how physically distant they were as partners. Bohlale's disinterest in exploring the physical side of their relationship bothered her. She was convinced it was one of the major reasons they clashed. Bohlale explained that he could not reciprocate Nancy's feelings because he mostly felt stressed.
Besides making her feel inadequate, Bohlale's detachment from intimacy compelled Nancy to wonder if he was involved with someone else. When the question about infidelity was raised in Love Never Lies: South Africa Episode 2, Bohlale assured Nancy of his loyalty. However, the finale revealed a different story.
Before the final lie-detector ceremony, Bohlale told the cameras that he had to "do better" to keep Nancy by his side. Meanwhile, Nancy was eager to hear Bohlale explain everything that happened with Mia.
When she joined Minnie, the show's host, at the ceremony, she expressed that she did not know if there was a future with Bohlale. As soon as Bohlale walked in, he apologized to Nancy.
"I am so sorry because I embarrassed you in front of the entire world and that's not what we came here for," he said.
The Love Never Lies: South Africa star added that he loved her wholeheartedly, hoping Nancy would grant him the chance to redeem himself.
As the ceremony started, Bohlale was asked if he had cheated on Nancy before the show. He answered in the affirmative which the lie-detector confirmed. While explaining what had happened, the Love Never Lies: South Africa star revealed that he used to be in contact and in love with his ex-partner when he was getting to know Nancy.
When Minnie mentioned that it took only four days for Bohlale to connect with Mia, he confessed that she did what it took to "unlock" his mind.
"You connected with Mia, you're failing to connect with me. Where do I fit between you and Mia? Do you still miss her?" Nancy asked.
Bohlale stated that he did not miss or think about her. The Love Never Lies: South Africa star explained that he regretted connecting physically with Mia because the "person that she had" was intended for Nancy, not her.
When Nancy was asked if she was ready to forgive Bohlale for having s*x with Mia, she answered yes. The lie detector attested to her response. Bohlale felt "optimistic" and "overwhelmed" hearing her answer.
Later, during a one-on-one conversation, Nancy requested that Bohlale not touch her because she felt uncomfortable. When Bohlale revealed he did not use protection with Mia and shared other details about his experience, Nancy lost her calm and asked him to stop narrating the incident.
"It's so painful," she said.
Toward the end of the episode, Minnie disclosed everyone's scores and stated that Bohlale and Nancy told the truth five times. Since Gontse and Munaka lied only once, they walked away with the winner's title and the R720,000 prize.
The finale ended without an update about Bohlale and Nancy's relationship. However, it is expected to be revealed at the reunion set to be released on Sunday, December 8, 2024.
