The latest episode of Below Deck Sailing Yacht, titled Past the Boiling Point, aired on January 20, 2025. It showed a disagreement between Chase and Gary about a task. Gary asked Chase to use halyards and a bosun’s chair to fix the yacht’s name safely. However, Chase said he could do it faster without following the method.
Captain Glenn stepped in, supported Gary, and told Chase to follow safety rules. Later, Gary spoke to Chase and told him to come to him directly with concerns instead of going to Glenn.
The episode also focused on the crew breaking Captain Glenn’s two-drink rule during their outing. Glenn fined each crew member 500 euros for going over the limit and deducted it from the $23,000 tip. Daisy said in a confessional that she felt like she and Keith were blamed because of Gary’s drinking. Meanwhile, Chase and Danni’s relationship continued to grow.
The crew started preparing for the final charter of the season and Chef Cloyce worked on a plan to meet the guests’ dietary needs in Below Deck Sailing Yacht.
Chase and Gary’s disagreement in Below Deck Sailing Yacht
A disagreement occurred between Chase and Gary about fixing the yacht’s nameplate in the latest episode of Below Deck Sailing Yacht. Gary asked Chase to meet him in the cockpit and explained the task.
“You want to go hang over the back to fix the name. I think some of them might be lifting or there’s tape coming off,” he said.
Chase suggested attaching it from where he was, but Captain Glenn advised him to “go on the halyards,” and Chase refused. Glenn told Chase to work aloft and explained in a confessional that working aloft was one of the most “dangerous” tasks that needed to be done correctly.
He said the safest way to complete the task was by using a halyard and a bosun’s chair. Chase insisted he could do it faster with a flagpole and said he didn’t listen to Gary, who reported the issue to Captain Glenn. Meanwhile, the captain intervened and instructed Chase to follow Gary’s directions.
In a confessional, Chase said he deserved credit for his work, stating that he does his job and does it fast, noting that he could do "Gary's job blindfolded."
Later, Gary confronted Chase for going to Glenn instead of resolving the issue directly. Chase claimed that he did so because Gary wasn't listening to him. When Chase asked when he had ignored Gary’s instructions, Gary replied, “All the time.”
