In the latest Sister Wives episode, aired on October 27, 2024, fans saw Christine Brown and her fiancé, David Woolley, planning their upcoming wedding.
This episode, titled 'Things Fall Apart,' highlighted Christine and David’s search for the perfect wedding venue at Utah’s Red Cliffs Lodge, while also focusing on Kody Brown’s reflections on past relationships.
As Christine embraces her new life and love after leaving her polygamous marriage with Kody, her excitement for a future with David stands in contrast to the complex dynamics and unresolved feelings within the Brown family.
Sister Wives: Exploring wedding venues at Red Cliffs lodge
In Sister Wives season 19, episode 7, Christine and David toured Red Cliffs Lodge, where they evaluated the lodge’s amenities and outdoor spaces for their large family gathering.
Christine and David were impressed by the venue, with Christine remarking:
“This has to be comfortable. This is really cool. This is beautiful.”
David added, “I like it a lot.” Together, they envisioned a beautiful ceremony surrounded by their family and loved ones.
After the tour, the wedding planner, pleased with their response, joked, “I think after all this, we at least deserve a hug now, right?” This light-hearted exchange closed the couple’s tour on a positive note, leaving them hopeful and excited about the venue.
Christine's relationship with David and the guest list
In her confessional on Sister Wives, Christine shared her plans to invite Janelle, Janelle’s children, and Meri’s child Leon, to the wedding.
However, Christine was candid about her discomfort around Meri, Robyn, and Kody, saying she wasn’t “ready to be around them yet.”
This selective guest list underscored the complex family dynamics, as Christine continues to navigate her transition from Kody’s polygamous family structure to her future with David.
As Christine looked forward to her wedding, she described her emotions as something entirely new and fulfilling, saying:
“I’ve never felt this special before. It’s incredible to feel loved and to feel special… It’s amazing. I wish this for everybody.”
Kody reflects on his relationships and separation from Meri
Meanwhile, Sister Wives continued to showcase Kody Brown’s struggles with his decisions and relationships. In this episode, Kody and his former wife Meri shared an encounter where Kody helped her move out, assisted by her sister Rebekah, and brother-in-law Nathan.
Although Meri expressed some sadness, Kody tried to remain composed, even admitting in his confessional:
“I’ve been wearing my pain on my sleeve for two, three years. I really am tired of the pain.”
Kody’s reflections revealed his ongoing struggle to reconcile with his past. Despite his attempt to appear indifferent about the separation, Rebekah called him out, pointing out that he was the one who had initiated the split.
Kody responded by expressing regret, stating, “I was guilty of marrying people I wasn’t in love with.” His admission, though seemingly honest, sparked skepticism in Meri and Janelle.
Janelle remarked that Kody’s perspective seemed selective, saying, “Kody has amnesia about past events,” which points to the complicated nature of their longstanding relationships.
Sister Wives: The Brown Family Dynamics
For Kody, the dissolution of his relationships with Meri, Janelle, and Christine remains a point of pain and reflection. He admitted feeling weighed down by “dark” feelings since the “destruction” of his family but expressed hope for moving forward, saying, “I know this will pass.”
With Meri, Janelle, and Christine each going their own ways, Kody is left to reflect on the choices that led to the breakdown of his family and his role in their current separation.
Sister Wives airs on Sundays at 10 pm ET on TLC.
