Love is Blind: UK released episodes 10-11 on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. After living together and experiencing the hardships of everyday life as engaged couples, the final six pairs had to decide if they wanted to enter the next phase of their relationship by getting married.
While some looked forward to spending the rest of their lives as husband and wife, others felt they were not ready to say "I do" just yet. One such couple was Demi and Ollie. The Love is Blind: UK couple walked down the aisle in episode 10 and read their vows to each other.
However, Demi decided against marrying Ollie in the following episode because she felt their relationship needed more time to be worthy of marriage. Despite her decision, Demi professed love to her partner and hoped they would continue working on their relationship. She mentioned it was not the end of their journey.
Love is Blind: UK star Demi felt anxious about meeting Ollie's parents for the first time at the wedding
At the bachelorette party, Demi confided in her friends that she would meet Ollie's parents for the first time on her wedding day. The revelation shocked them and they said, "That's huge." In the meantime, Ollie contemplated his decision to marry because he feared he had not spent enough time with Demi. He wondered if he was making a rash decision.
On the wedding day, the Love is Blind: UK star confessed she started overthinking things since marriage was a "massive deal" for her. She hoped whatever decision she made was the "right one." Likewise, Ollie felt nervous and hoped to make the most of the "once-in-a-lifetime" moment. While speaking about Demi, he said:
"Demi's my perfect match. She's been the best part of this experiment, obviously. I came here to find love and I found her."
He added she was someone he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. Despite that, he acknowledged everything felt "surreal." He was overwhelmed by the emotions surrounding the wedding.
While speaking to the cameras, Demi revealed Ollie made no contact with her after they left the apartment. It was what made the Love is Blind: UK star feel anxious about their relationship. She did not want to feel the "doubts" or "cracks" on her wedding day.
"My head and my heart are not aligned, and that is scary because which one's gonna take the lead when I'm standing in front of Ollie?" said Demi.
While interacting with his friend, Aaron, Ollie confessed he was not feeling like himself. He wondered if Demi was experiencing the "roller coaster of emotions" too. While speaking of Demi, he complimented the patience she showed when he was not at his best behavior. As he recalled how she comforted him when he opened up about his ADHD, he stated:
"She's a good listener. She's a good communicator. It's like a best friend that you're madly attracted to, madly in love with."
However, he also mentioned that irrespective of their chemistry they had not known each other that long. The Love is Blind: UK star's mood was uplifted after he met his father, who gave him his blessings.
Standing at the altar, Demi thanked Ollie for making her feel "light and free." She commended him for being a beautiful person "inside and out." On the other hand, Ollie expressed his gratitude to his partner for supporting him when he was unsure and guiding him when he felt lost. He added that he would choose her "a hundred times over."
When the officiant asked Demi if she accepted Ollie as her husband, she said, "I do not." Hearing her answer, Ollie stood in shock. When he questioned the Love is Blind: UK cast member, she said:
"I know you do love me, and I know you care about me, and I know you appreciate me, but I know what I want from a husband, and I don't think we're quite there obviously."
However, she hoped they could continue their journey as partners and get to know each other more. Ollie noted whatever happened was only a "diversion" and that they would eventually get to the finish line at their own pace.
All episodes of Love is Blind: UK are available to stream only on Netflix.
