Season 6 of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way aired on June 1, 2024, on TLC, following American couples who travel abroad to make their relationships work. Dempsey and Statler, featured in this season, began a new adventure living in a van. However, they struggled to adapt, with Statler feeling anxious about the drastic life change as they journeyed through Europe.
The couple is also going through financial conflicts as the audience witnessed in the latest September 2 episode of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way. During the episode, Statler was sent into shock when she learned that all this while Dempsey had money and did not offer to help, knowing that Statler was in debt.

Statler questioned Dampsey’s decisions in 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way season 6, episode 10
Episode 10, (Dis)Enchanted, of season 6, 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way aired on Monday, September 2, 2024, on TLC. The episode had some displeased moments as the name suggests, one of them was Dempsey and Statler being in a financial conflict. Damsey who has often portrayed herself as someone who does not believe in planning was questioned by Statler about her prospects.
The couple got into a rift as Statler has been worried about the money situation since they joined the show, and he felt that she was the one who had to bear the brunt of financial responsibilities alone. Statler was also anxious about the idea of going through Europe in a van, and not knowing how to sort out their future financial situations.
The couple took their van to a boot sale in episode 10 of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way season 6, where they got rid of extra things for some money. The idea came from Dempsey, and Statler followed through. Statler was worked up with the debts and therefore initiated the conversation with Damspey about their money problems.
She said:
“Like, these are, like, difficult conversations for me to have in general, but I feel like I don't wanna have a healthy relationship with you. So I was talking to my friend Natalie, and she just noticed that I tend to give and give and give in relationships of my finances. And so, I'm trying to be more mindful of that.”
The two got into a verbal conflict where Dempsey admitted that she did not have any money concerns as she had some extra money saved. She said:
“I know that you like to have a plan, but I don't. So we're just gonna have to work with each other on that. Like, that's just how I am, and you knew that before you got into this with me. I mean, I've got the last, like, month's wages coming to my bank, and then I still have the money from my car.”
The revelation made Statler very furious and frustrated. She felt betrayed and disappointed. She expressed that she had to ask her boss for extra money, and she was in debt, but Dampsey never told her about the money she had. She said:
“I'm sad because I feel let down. I feel betrayed. I feel like she kept this from me and it's she's just kind of flying past it like it's not a big deal. I just feel like I'm getting scre**d over.”
