Love is Blind: Mexico premiered on Netflix on Thursday, August 1, 2024. In the first four episodes, the cast members connected with one another as they got to know each other through a wall as part of the social experiment, and five couples made it to the honeymoon phase, called Paradise.
This included Saul and Leti, Francesca and Willy, Gerardo and Fernanda, Karen and Fernando, and Chema and Silvia. While most of these couples were seen getting along and having fun, one couple, Saul and Leti, had a difficult time on their honeymoon.
Saul and Leti, who got engaged earlier in the season, had a good relationship but had a few hurdles to cross. While Saul was ready to take their relationship to the next step, Leti, or Leticia, was hesitant about being physically intimate with her fiance.
While speaking about their first night together in Tulum, Saul said they were both "nervous, anxious, and excited." He said it was strange to share a bed with a stranger and that everyone warned him about it. But he went ahead with it anyway. Despite struggling to connect physically, the two were confident about their relationship.
"I worry a lot about Helena": Love is Blind: Mexico star Leti shares her concerns with Saul
In Love is Blind: Mexico season 4, Saul and Leti opened up about struggling to connect physically. Leti had reservations as she wanted to be a role model for her fiance's daughter, Helena. However, that was not her only hesitation.
As Saul and Leti went out on a date, he asked her if the Love is Blind: Mexico star was ready for the wedding, and the latter said "no." She asked him if he was, and Saul replied that he was, but Leti was making him hesitate.
He added that he didn't have any doubts but her hesitation was making him have certain doubts. Leticia told him she believed it was "valid and healthy" to have doubts. Saul agreed with the Love is Blind: Mexico cast member and noted it was "part of the journey."
In a confessional, Leti opened up about being concerned that their relationship was moving too fast and that they may not be able to "distinguish between" the reality and what was "fabricated."
"I worry a lot about Helena. I mean, I would never want to put her in a situation where her life gets upended," Leti told Saul.
Saul, the father of the 14-year-old child, agreed that her life was going to change but noted that it would be for the "better." In a confessional, Leti added that she was worried that Helena wouldn't like her when they finally met.
Leti asked the Love is Blind: Mexico season 1 star whether he thought Helena would like to be a bridesmaid at their wedding, and Saul thought it was a great idea. He said that although he couldn't be certain, Leti should ask her when they meet.
"I am more reserved. But I like that Saul creates a safe space for me to let my feelings evolve," Leti added.
Later in the episode, while in conversation with some of the other Love is Blind: Mexico cast members, Leti opened up about her and Saul having different love languages and said that he had different expectations from her. Meanwhile, Saul also spoke to some of the men about the same but the cast assured him that Leti loved him.
After discussing their issues with their friends, the two had conversations about their problems in Love is Blind: Mexico episode 4. Saul told his fiancée that she went into the pods looking for certain types of traits and found a few of them in him.
He added that he felt she was "internalizing" those feelings and asked her if she could open up to him more. He told her that if he wasn't what she was looking for, that was fine since it wasn't "real life yet." Leticia agreed to try, and the two kissed and made up.
Episodes of Love is Blind: Mexico season 1 are available to stream on Netflix.
