The second batch of episodes released this week revealed that Ryan and Deanna were kidnapped in The Mole season 2 episode 8. The makers took them by random selection and assigned the remaining 5 players the task of locating them.
The Mole season 2 episode 8 was the last episode of the second installment, released on Friday, July 5. The episode was titled Taken after Ryan and Deanne's abduction, which made the center stage for their task.
After locating Ryan and Deanna, the players also had to find a way to unlock them. By the end of the mission, the players successfully located and unlocked them all within the given time frame, and bagged $35,000 for their prize pot.

The Mole season 2 episode 8: Ryan and Deanna's kidnapping mission explored
When the contestants got up for breakfast in the morning on The Mole season 2 episode 8, Ryan and Deanna didn't join them. Just when they were starting to get suspicious, Ari joined them and told them that their friends were taken by random selection.
The video flashed back to how Ryan and Deanna were taken in a van. Their faces were covered with a black cloth and their hands were cuffed behind their backs, just like a real abduction.
After Ari explained the rules to the remaining contestants, the cameras went to Ryan and Deanna, who were seated with their backs against each other and black cloth covering their faces. They were asked to uncover their faces and look around themselves.
They were hauled up in a small cabin and were chained to the ground, with a phone in sight. The instructions said that when their teammates called them, they would have to give them clues about their location based on what they saw around them.
Meanwhile, the other contestants were told that each phone call they made to their friends would only last 15 seconds and it would cost them $5000 each. Ryan and Deanna figured out that they were atop the water, which Deanna told her fellow contestants in their very first call.
In a confessional, on The Mole season 2 episode 8, Deanna said that she wanted Ryan to take the second call because she wanted to see how Ryan responded, to check if there was any mole-like behavior. Surprisingly, there was!
After the pair managed to open a window of their boat house, they spotted a clock tower outside. But when Ryan received her teammate's call, she told them that it was a "Big Ben statue".
Deanna, in a confessional on The Mole season 2 episode 8 said that she was never suspicious of Ryan until they were kidnapped. Several other contestants also took note of the fact that Ryan called a clock tower a "statue," once they found them.
Hauled up inside a red cabin, the duo also had a key in sight and they had to use a hook and a stick to retrieve the key so that they could uncuff themselves. They did so with ease and celebrated their win.
The contestants were able to rescue them seconds before the 2-hour timer went off and added $35000 to the prize pot, totaling the entire prize amount to $85,000.
The last two episodes of The Mole season 2, i.e. episodes 9 and 10 will be released on Friday, July 12, only on Netflix.
