What happened between Tamra and Ryan in The Real Housewives of Orange County season 18 episode 12? Feud explored

Tamra finally decided to call out the elephant in the room during the table get-together after Eddie expressed to Tamra that she had enough alcohol. Addressing Ryan, she asked about the podcast incident.

Ryan took the conversation head-on on The Real Housewives of Orange County and declared that he wasn't the one who talked about the couple rather it was the host. This was confirmed by the production team as they played a snippet of the said podcast. At that moment, Tamra refused to believe Ryan and as things escalated, Tamra let slip that she knew about the "FBI raid."

While Eddie tried to stop his wife as "it was not worth it" according to him, Ryan and Jenn took offense to the remark. In a confessional, Tamra stated that she had known about the incident for a while and didn't want to bring the topic up earlier.

"I have known for six months that Ryan was raided by the FBI. It was some kind of illegal gambling and Jenn knows all about it," stated Tamra.

These events on The Real Housewives of Orange County prompted all the couples to disperse from the party, but Ryan still got some jabs in when he stated that Eddie and Tamra's marriage was "a sham" and that they were jealous of "others doing well".

On May 8, 2024, ESPN reported that Ryan Boyajian from The Real Housewives of Orange County was involved in a gambling and theft scandal linked to Shohei Ohtani's former interpreter, Ippei Mizuhara, who stole nearly $16 million. Ryan allegedly wired money to a bookmaker's associate to cover his gambling debts.

On the same day, Mizuhara agreed to plead guilty to two federal charges related to the gambling scheme, having stolen the funds from Ohtani's personal bank account. He could face up to 30 years in federal prison.

Ryan's lawyer was asked about his thoughts regarding Ryan's involvement in such a high-profile case. He neither agreed nor denied his involvement.

“Because there is an active investigation and Ryan is working with the authorities, he can’t confirm or deny what is going on. He is not a bookmaker or a sub-bookie,” stated the lawyer.

Ryan and Mathew Bowyer, the alleged illegal bookmaker, reportedly laundered payments made by Mizuhara through casino marker accounts. After depositing money, they would withdraw chips from these accounts and gamble with them. If they won, they would cash out.
