On May 14, 2024, ABC revealed that Joan Vassos, a fan-favorite participant from The Golden Bachelor, was selected as the first Golden Bachelorette star. She was amongst 21 other contestants in Gerry Turner's season who had to quit midseason because of a medical urgency at home.
The first Golden Bachelorette, Joan Vassos, is a private school administrator in Rockland, Maryland. She is also a mother of four and also a grandmother. She enjoys relaxing at the beach and is also a very good cook.
