Love is Blind: Mexico is a reality TV dating show, currently streaming on Netflix. The show brings together singles who are trying to find love but are willing to look beyond physical appearances, to find their perfect match. Contestants enter the show without ever seeing each other, communicating only through walls in specially designed 'pods'.
Couples can choose to propose to each other once they establish a connection, and only then do they meet face-to-face for the first time. In the debut season of Love is Blind: Mexico, one of the couples who made an instant connection was Saul and Leti.
Episode 2 showcases Saul's decision to choose Leti over Karen, as well as the moment that led to their engagement. After their engagement, the couple is sent to a romantic retreat, where Leti asks Saul the question:

When Leti questions him about his decision to choose her over Karen. He replies:
"I liked her in the beginning, but there were things about her that weren't marriage material."
To this, Leti asks, what is it about her that made him propose, he says:
"Peace, calm, fun, affection, I like that a lot. That was the big thing, I liked yesterday. The affection between us."
Saul shared that he was seeking more than just an initial spark, he wanted a lasting partnership filled with peace, fun, love, and affection, qualities that he found in Leti. The strength of their emotional connection guided Saul's decision, leading him to choose Leti over Karen.

"I came to this game, with no expectations. Your strategy was solid, putting me in checkmate, without realizing my aim wasn't to win. I'm here for my queen. I'm getting on one knee to ask you, Leticia, will you marry this pawn who wants to become king to his queen."
To this, Leticia takes a moment and says yes with a big smile on her face. Further saying that she wants to see him already and confesses that she loves him. The proposal was an indication of their journey on Love is Blind Mexico, showcasing the genuine bond that had formed between Saul and Leti.
