Big Brother is a reality television show in which competitors live in a single house under surveillance, compete in challenges, and face eviction to win a prize. The show focuses on strategic games, alliances, and social dynamics, and each season brings fresh themes and twists.
Janelle Pierzina first appeared on the show in the sixth season and returned for three more, becoming a well-known figure in its history. She appeared in Big Brother seasons 6, 7, 14, and 22.
Janelle Pierzina's journey on Big Brother
Season 6
Janelle Pierzina was a key member of the Sovereign Six Alliance in season 6, which challenged the dominant Friendship group. Her connections with The Friendship, especially Jennifer Vasquez and Beau Beasley, were crucial to her strategy. Janelle reached the final three but was eliminated in third place when Ivette Corredero cast the deciding vote. Despite her elimination, she was the seventh and final jury member, highlighting her strong performance.
Season 7
Janelle returned for Big Brother 7 (All-Stars) with 13 other former houseguests. During this season, she set a record for the most individual competition wins in a single season, achieving nine victories, including four Head of Household (HOH) and five Power of Veto (POV) wins.
Her gameplay includes a contentious incident in which she ousted her ally Marcellas Reynolds, influenced by Will Kirby. Janelle finished third again, making her the seventh and final member of the jury. She also got the America's Favorite Houseguest award, indicating her popularity with viewers.
Season 14
In season 14, Janelle appeared as a coach, mentoring a team of new houseguests. Her time as a coach was cut short when Mike Boogie Malin and Dan Gheesling influenced Head of Household Danielle Murphree to backdoor Janelle.
Janelle was evicted in Week 4 with an 8-1 vote, becoming the first coach to be eliminated from the game. This marked the first time she did not reach the final three or jury stage.
Season 22
Janelle's fourth appearance was on Big Brother 22 (All-Stars). Initially, she was saved by Kaysar Ridha’s Safety Suite Competition win and Memphis Garrett’s HOH win. However, she was nominated in Week 3 by Tyler Crispen.
Unable to secure a Power of Veto win, Janelle was evicted in Week 3 with a 9-2 vote, finishing in 14th place. Her alliances with Kaysar Ridha, Memphis Garrett, Keesha Smith, and Bayleigh Dayton were notable, and she continued her feud with Nicole Franzel, originating from their time on The Amazing Race.

Following her final Big Brother appearance, Janelle Pierzina participated in The Traitors. In a January 2024 interview with Entertainment Weekly, Janelle discussed her experiences on both Big Brother and The Traitors.
