Shark Tank star Barbara Corcoran made headlines when she purchased a double-wide mobile home in Los Angeles for $800,000. Known for her sharp business acumen and real estate expertise, Corcoran invested in a Pacific Palisades trailer park property.

During a tour of her home in a TikTok video by Caleb Simpson, Corcoran said on July 21, 2023:

“Here’s my Taj Mahal — everything’s little,” showcasing its compact yet elegant design.

This wasn’t her first foray into sharing her lifestyle. Corcoran had previously offered TikTok star Caleb Simpson a glimpse into her Manhattan apartment.

In the mobile home tour, she explained her decision to buy the property, which she renovated extensively, adding $150,000 worth of upgrades. While mobile homes are often perceived as modest living options, Corcoran’s unit boasts a sophisticated aesthetic, turning her investment into a luxurious retreat.

Shark Tank: The mobile home in Pacific Palisades

Barbara Corcoran’s double-wide mobile home is situated in one of Los Angeles' most scenic areas, with views of the Pacific Ocean. She was drawn to the location and the park’s serene environment, which prompted her to make an offer to the previous owner.

Despite initially being told the property wasn’t for sale, Corcoran convinced the owner to sell by allowing her lifetime access to the unit.

The trailer, purchased for $800,000, underwent a $150,000 transformation. The result was a light, airy, and modern home with a boho-chic design. The interior includes two and a half bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an open-concept layout that maximizes space.

Outdoor amenities include a spacious patio, large enough to accommodate a dining area for eight people, and lounge chairs for relaxation. Corcoran’s fondness for the property was evident when she told Simpson:

“I think I like this more than the New York City home."

Shark Tank star Barbara’s financial habits explored

Despite her multimillion-dollar fortune, Shark Tank star Barbara Corcoran chooses to fly economy class instead of first class—a decision rooted in her priorities.

“Do you know what a first-class ticket costs?”

Corcoran remarked during an interview on The Jamie Kern Lima Show on 17 December. She explained that coach tickets cost only about 25% of first-class seats, and she prefers to use her free air miles to give her family vacations.

“I get the free miles and I can give them away. I have everybody in my family flying on my free miles.” She added, “I’ll be in coach feeling really smug because I know I have three plane tickets that could take somebody somewhere.”

Advice from Shark Tank Investor Barbara Corcoran

In a conversation with her fitness trainer, Mark Langowski, founder of Body By Mark, Corcoran detailed her straightforward workout routine on an Instagram video. She works out three days a week, focusing on weightlifting and stretching, and rewards herself with a donut afterward.

“Experts agree that the stickiest habits are ones that are neither too complicated nor too demanding,” Corcoran stated on November 21.

This mindset also extends to her financial habits. Corcoran advocates for creating simple and manageable budgets, maintaining accountability by working with a partner or professional, and rewarding oneself for reaching financial goals.

Corcoran’s decisions reflect a strong emphasis on family connections. In an interview on The Jamie Kern Lima Show, she shared that her homes, including her ski chalets and beach houses, are always filled with family members, friends, or guests.

“There’s not a single bed in any of my homes that’s ever empty,” she said.

Shark Tank airs every Friday at 8/7c on ABC.
